Caribou Coffee — Restaurant in Maplewood

(Post Made 1 year ago) This specific Caribou location has always been my favorite but not anymore. Since this summer I had to return to the place just because they didn't make my drink correctly. They didn't make a big deal out of it but its so time consuming. Getting stuck in traffic then in line and they take forever to make my drink.... Just yesterday even after the second time they still made me the wrong drink.....probably not going to go back anymore. I've given up on this location!

(Post 5/3/19) Since I'm not able to make another review, I'll just edit my old post and write down the date of the posting. Anyways, I just wanted to share my experience with this specific Caribou Coffee at this location. I called in this morning around 10:30 am to see if the staff can check the availability for me for 5/5/18 at 6pm before I actually come into the store to book it to save me time since they don't book rooms over on the phone anymore. The staff that I talked with said, "We are too busy right now. Can't help you. Why don't you call us back at a later time." In my head I'm like did you just seriously say that?....So I told her "Uhhh..okay...I guess I'll call a different Caribou then since you're too busy to help." Poor poor customer service!! Good customer services should be provided at all time!! You have to care for your customer during slow and busy hours!! Well I called the Caribou Coffee on Rice street and they were able to help me really fast and easy. So good bye to Caribou Coffee on...

I'm currently living in Idaho, and the nearest Caribou location is 12 hours away in northeastern Wyoming. I visited home this weekend and was excited all weekend to go and get Caribou with my siblings. For us, nothing represents being back in Minnesota like going to get a tasty, hot drink at our homeland's greatest coffee chain. Anyway, after waiting all weekend for this family ritual, we walked two miles through the November cold during normal, listed business hours, arriving over 30 minutes before closing. The lobby was locked, with a sign that said it was closed due to short staffing. There were about a dozen children hanging out in the lobby who laughed and smirked at us, but no adults visible and no staff. We tried walking through the drive thru and were utterly ignored by whoever was meant to be manning the order window. I'm not sure who is managing this location but apparently they close their lobby without warning, selectively ignore their own rules, and ignore customers who show up during business hours. 2 stars because this experience is still better than...

I was really bummed out the experience I had here. Normally every Caribou Coffee place I go to, everyone is friendly. But this time I had a upsetting experience. The girl who was working the drive thru was very rude with having an upset tone in her voice. Which I understood everyone has a bad day, but when we ordered a chocolate cooler, she never asked what type of chocolate we wanted and didn't even put chocolate in it and gave us a normal cooler, also I am a perks member. I didn't know if she was new or someone didn't train her, but I had an on the house complimentary upgrade drink perk that I wanted to use before it expired this Monday. She then proceed to tell us that it wasn't caribou, until we had to show her my cell phone with the app and prove her mistaken perspective. An then expecting to get my perk drink, she charged me for it and she looked like she didn't know what she was doing, and I check my cell phone right after to see if my perk was used, and it wasn't.

Overall I was super upset and wish I had a better experience with another...
