Marshfield Towne Center — Attraction in Marshfield

Pros:

World Buffet is a decent place to eat. No complaints.

My kids love the play area. Lots for them to do to wear off their energy and get them out of the house.

Good place to do walking laps. My family does it and I see the older generations doing laps as well.

Cons:

Lack of any stores of interest. I find the most interesting store in there is a used book store.

The play area needs a little patching, nothing major.

Place is too quiet for a mall. Every time we are in there it is whisper quiet. I’m not used to malls being that quiet.

There is a church in the mall. I understand freedom of religion and all, but a mall is a very inappropriate place for a church. I’m guessing because the mall has so few stores they need to make money somehow. One of the church people, don’t know who they were, they made my wife uncomfortable. They were starring at our children a little too much.

This mall is beautiful from the outside, but contains only a handful of stores. Some stores sell collectibles and bricabrac, some are devoted purely to Christian books. The furniture store and Younkers are the current anchors, with a miniature Kohls attached but inaccessible from the mall hallways. There is a vacant anchor spot in the center where JC Penneys used to be. The area by the nail salon often has a foul odor. This mall has only one real restaurant and lacks a food court. It could definitely use some more fast food locations and chain stores to help make it worth a look. I love running around here with my daughter, every Monday after breakfast we purchase a bouncy ball, and throw it around the mall, and she chases it like a puppy 😁 the stores keep us busy until the playland catches her eye... Then she's all about playing like crazy! Thanks to the mall my I get my exercise, and she definitely gets hers especially on a rainy day when the parks are a no go. To top it all off we have world buffet if we get hungry so the fun doesn't end when hunger comes lol thanks for all the fun. Long live the...
