Stay away from this restaurant. First off, I live extremely close and have tried to give this place the benefit of the doubt on multiple occasions. However, after my experience with Don Pollo today, I am recommending stay away.
Today (4/29/2021 1:05pm) I went in for chicken and when I got home (1 block away) I open my container of food and was presented with UNDER-COOKED BLOODY chicken, that was sitting inside running blood juices [SEE PICTURES]! I was completely disgusted, and promptly went back to return it. Now, I'm offered a replacement meal from the cashier who initially rang me up which, of course, I decline. The cashier retrieves the manager to give me a refund. The Manager comes over, doesn't acknowledge me in the slightest, says nothing to me and hands me a refund receipt, without making eye contact, without an apology or anything else. This type of poor customer service is intolerable and the level of food safety is apparent. There are kids who eat here and during a pandemic you should be paying extra attention to the INTERNAL temperature of your chicken. Bloody chicken can lead to many illnesses some FATAL to people with weak immune systems. I'm glad I knew the difference between uncooked chicken, but think of a KID who will just eat whats placed in front of them not knowing the difference.

Read moreI ordered the 1/4 quarter white meat chicken, fried yucca and coleslaw. When the lady asked me for my number I gave her the receipt. I picked up my order and took an Uber home. I got home and the chicken breast tasted like it must’ve fallen into the charcoal. It tastes really gritty. I called the restaurant manager and gave her my complaint. She asked me for my ticket number. I told her it was 294 and I gave it to the woman behind the counter. The manager said that it was not the right number and asked what I ordered and I told her. She said in order to get my money back I had to pay for an Uber to bring the platter back. That doesn’t make sense for me to pay an Uber to pick me up and take me home. That’s way too expensive. I’m handicapped. She refused to give me a refund on my debit card. I will never ever go there again. I don’t recommend anyone to eat there or order takeout. I already informed my family and friends. Read moreI ordered the 1/4 chicken with two sides…. I thought it was supposed to be rotisserie chicken… this is clearly FRIED chicken. The fried rice was BLAND. the beans were BLAND (they obviously wanted to get rid of the beans but not the rice.), the rice was bland lol they literally gave me a couple more baby spoonfuls than what you see in the picture (pitiful)…. the sauce was not good either. I spoke to the manager and she offered me 10% off my next meal…. if I don’t like it, why would I come back? She said if I came back she would give me a refund after asking for my order number… I offered to send her a picture… I could have even facetimed, but I went there on my lunch break and could not just up and return… it’s okay. If that’s the best you could do to make the situation better, fine. Whatever. You won’t get my money again....
