Kapalua golf villa 23T 4&5 is very comfy, with a great location and lovely views, set amidst beautiful and lush landscapes. Did a lot of Whale watching from the lanai. (Whale watching boat trip was an extra bonanza)! We swam in the Kapalua beach and hiked the coastal trail, the golf course walkways (all at a walkable distance). The Kapalua Burger shack and Taverna are good close by restaurants. Condo kitchen is also well equipped - we could barbeque and cook home food if we felt like. We were a group of 4 adults. We are early risers, wanted to start using the kitchenette early, so chose the living room sofa cum bed- slept like babies! The condo has all amenities, 2 full bathrooms, 2 TVs, washer, dryer, dishwasher etc - a home away from home! Frolicked at the Napili and Kanapalli beaches too and then at sunset got some excercise in the residents' pools.Though it is an old apartment, it has been renovated and the rental is a steal! Best of all no steps to climb after a hard day of having fun - elders loved that! Maui is really the most beautiful and versatile island we have ever visited. Golfers, surfers, snorkelers, nature lovers paradise - loved the magical forest! Enjoyed Maui to the full and already dreaming of...
Read moreThe place was nice, air conditioner was good, view was good. But a lot of things were absolutely wrong about this place. First off, they don’t give you enough towels, washer had dirt in it, the drier’s control button panel was broken off and taped together. Also had an instance where the local HVAC company they use just decided to go into our unit (we found their map on our kitchen table when we came back) mind you the villa never called us ahead to let us know. Checking in was miserable too considering the have no physical person at the office at all hours (which even cheap hotels have). They also charge you a random “$800 cleaning fee”. For the price you pay, and absolute lack of amenities and poor customer transparency, you are better off staying at the Westin or Hyatt (who have unlimited towel kiosks located everywhere and better...
Read moreI can not express strongly enough my disappointment at Kapalua Golf Villas. I stayed in unit 15A. I have seen trashy roadside hotels in better conditions. This place was probably awesome in 1970, but I'm pretty sure NOTHING new has been done here since the 1970's. Everything was old and dingy. Good luck with the bathrooms need updated. The unit was in dire need of an upgrade. The check in counter is a long drive from the units if you need anything. The counter gave me the wrong key at check in. Then, I had to wait 15-20 minutes for someone to bring me another key. Morale to the story is to find another place to stay. I've stayed in Maui for 15 years. There are better places to stay...
