Napili Kai is single handedly the best hotel in Hawaii. ||I grew up coming here (and my parents came before I was born) so it holds a special place in my heart. We had a group of over 100 stay at NK for my wedding weekend, and it was fabulous. ||We had several events at the hotel, including a welcome night buffet and day-after mai tai putting party, and everything was absolutely PERFECT & all the guest were so happy with their rooms, service, etc. ||Here are a few highlights:||- The rooms are spacious, inviting, warm, comfortable, and family oriented. You truly feel like you are at home away from home. Lani 1 (in addition to all the rooms) is breathtaking. Two bathrooms was SO helpful. Also, I loved that our guests in the Keaka buildings could open up the screens on their balcony and go from room to room. It was a blast. ||- The Sea House Staff, including the bartenders, Susu, and JP (manager) are AMAZING. They handled our large group with such grace, warmth and love. Every one of our guests commented on how great the service was during our welcome night event in the Plumeria Garden. This is SUCH a great spot to host an event under the lights. It was gorgeous. My biggest concern was that there would be a line for the bar - and there was not a SINGLE moment where there was more than 1-2 people waiting for a drink (100+ people were there). The bartenders this night (along with Melissa and JP) were so efficient and also so kind to all of my family and friends. It really helped start my wedding weekend off on an amazing note. I think this is one of the biggest events that they have thrown there, and they absolutely crushed it.||- Lorene, who is in charge of the Beach Shack, is the best. She is so so sweet, loving, and knowledgable. She takes the time to get to know every guest, and remembers them when they return. She remembered me from over 20 years ago, and even brought out the yearbooks from her Keiki Club to see if we could find pictures of my sister and I. Lorene (and her crew) make the Napili Kai feel like a true home. When we threw an epic putting party on the putting green, Lorene went out and personally bought gifts for the winners. Her and Melissa hosted the event - it was so organized, fun, and celebratory. Also JP's bartending during this event was top notch. Lorene is one of the reasons why many people go back to NK for years and years. Our guests continue to rave about her, how she manages the snack shop, chats it up with families who love her dearly, and teaches lessons about Maui history to the guests. ||- The snack shop also expanded their menu recently and it is SO good. The chicken nuggets taste better than McDonalds. And the Acai bowl is unmatched, better than the any in the area. ||- The front office staff, and house keeping, are unbelievable hospitable and quick. They took the time to put welcome gift bags in all 50 of our guests rooms, with no issues at all. Our room was spotlessness cleaned every time we went in it. Also, my husband had his groomsmen come to our suite in Lani 1 for drinks and lunch before the wedding, and the house keeping staff went BACK in later on, and cleaned up after them (without us requesting this). We came home to a clean room on our wedding night, which I appreciated so very much. ||- Finally, Melissa Simpson, Sales and Marketing Manager. It is difficult for me to put into words how grateful I am for her. I worked with Melissa for 1.5 years leading up to this wedding weekend. My family and I also know her from growing up there. Melissa played a huge huge huge part in making this the best week of my life. She helped coordinate ALL aspects, from the events, to staffing, to room assignments. Melissa sent me spreadsheets numerous times of the room assignments, and let me hand select who was placed where. I put all my friends together, I put families near each other, etc. This was sop special. Melissa is so calm, kind, compassionate, professional, and just all around incredible at what she does. She is a great person, who embodies the love that is Napili Kai. She deeply cares for the hotel, the people that work there, and the guests. ||When we arrived to our room in Lani 1, there was a customized pillow waiting for us with the NK logo and different Hawaiian words about love and relationships. Melissa gifted us the pillow, which now lives on our bed in San Francisco. It was one of the most thoughtful things anyone has done for us. ||The entire staff around the hotel stepped up to make this week incredible for us. This is a true testament to the love, and aloha, that is truly the foundation of the Napili Kai. I will tell you that, for our Honeymoon we went to the 1 Hotel in Hanalei Bay, and the moment I got there, I felt homesick for the Napili Kai. I have traveled a lot, and am a bit of a hotel snob, and there is truly no other hotel like the Napili Kai. I am so grateful to have brought so many new people to experience this place, they are all still raving about it weeks later - and many planning to come back.||I am forever grateful to the Napili Kai. Because of the people there, and the love that is palpable when you walk in the door, I had the best week of my life. ||If you want an authentic, true, phenomenal strongly suggest considering hosting family/wedding events at the Napili Kai. And of course, I strongly recommend you bring your family and enjoy a vacation there. You will never...

Read moreJust returned from a wonderful stay at Napili Kai Beach Resort and felt compelled to share our experience. As a former Front Office Manager with years of experience in the hotel industry, I’ve developed a pretty discerning eye—and this resort impressed me on many levels.||We arrived after a long journey from Toronto, landing around 10 PM. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were warmly welcomed by Amy at the front desk. Her friendly, humorous demeanor and professionalism set the tone for our entire stay. She explained everything clearly and even assisted us with our luggage—such a nice touch.||The Room & Grounds|Our room was well-appointed and comfortable, with a fully equipped kitchen that proved incredibly convenient and cost-effective. The property is beautifully maintained, with lush, vibrant landscaping that truly blew us away. It’s also worth noting that they’re actively renovating some of the rooms near the pool—a clear sign that the resort continues to invest in its future.||Authentic Hawaiian Atmosphere|What truly sets Napili Kai apart is the authentic Hawaiian feeling woven throughout the guest experience. From the calming Hawaiian music playing softly in the lobby to the lighting of the tiki torches each evening, everything contributes to a peaceful, immersive island ambiance. It’s those kinds of thoughtful touches that make you feel like you’re truly in Hawaii—not just visiting a resort on a beach.||Service & Amenities|On our first morning, a lovely staff member (whose name we unfortunately missed - female, dark hair, wore boots) provided us with towels and even filled our water jugs with ice—a small gesture that meant a lot. She also gave us great tips for beach seating and rentals.|The resort offers a wealth of thoughtful perks:|• Free parking|• Morning and afternoon coffee service|• A weekly show|• Daily 10:00 AM conch shell ceremony with complimentary coffee, lemonade, and fresh pineapple – a highlight of our trip!||Food & Dining|We sampled a few items from the snack bar—everything was fresh and tasty. We also enjoyed dinner at the Sea House Restaurant, where the food (prime rib, calamari, seafood pasta) was delicious and the sunset views were absolutely magical. Service was attentive and welcoming.||The Beach|The beach right at the hotel, along with nearby beaches, were perfect for snorkeling. We saw turtles and vibrant marine life just steps from our room—an unforgettable experience. The presence of birds and the gentle sound of waves added to the peaceful ambiance.||Departure|Checking out was seamless. We were offered a late checkout option (with a fee) or access to a well-equipped hospitality room. We chose the latter and it had everything we needed to freshen up before our flight. Incredibly, Amy called us on our way to the airport to let us know we had left something behind in the hospitality room—now that is going above and beyond. Thank you again, Amy!||Final Thoughts|Our time in Maui was a perfect 10 out of 10, due in no small part to our stay at Napili Kai. The island’s natural beauty—from the summit of Haleakalā to the lush trails on the Road to Hana—was matched by the warmth, service, and genuine Hawaiian spirit of this resort.|Thank you, Napili Kai, for a truly memorable stay. We can’t...
