The restaurant is located right off the beach so you can hear the ocean until you get inside. The atmosphere is open air and you can see tiki torches from your seat. The atmosphere is nice, but it's entirely too noisy to carry on a conversation with people at your table. I'm not sure if it's the Acoustics or the fact that all the diners have to speak so loud to hear each other at the table that the noise grows as the restaurant fills up. There was music playing, but all that really did was add to the noise since you couldn't really hear the music over the talking of everyone in the restaurant.
The sweet onion soup, basically French onion soup, cheese melted on top and was good, although it is over salty for my taste.
The coconut crusted shrimp with the thai chili sauce, was covered with the thai sauce, too hot for many at the table to eat. The flavor was nice a little lighter on the thai sauce it would have been great.
The filet mignon was cooked to a medium rare, as ordered. It is a typical filet that is very tender and is standard fare at any restaurant of good quality.
Macadamia crusted mahi mahi with coconut rice. The flavor of the rice complimented the macadamia nut crust accompanying while the vegetables were grilled and complimenting the dish.
Basil pesto crusted monchong with cheese Rosato was very creamy and well flavored. A nice compliment to the basil pesto the monchong has a sweet note to the flaky fish, and is a Hawaiian specialty, so this is something to try.
The Pacific shrimp carbonara had excellent flavor with well cooked pasta al dente as pasta should be. The only downfall to this dish was that the tails on the shrimp were left on. It was not necessarily a big deal except since this shrimp was covered with sauce, using your fingers to remove the tail made it a messy thing to try and eat.
This restaurant is attached to Resort so finding how to get there if you're not staying at the resort might be a little tricky, go through the front desk walk through the lobby out the back door and over a bridge in downstairs to get to the beach front...
Read moreWe were searching for a breakfast place on the last day of our staycation. Not being able to make a decision, we left it up to one of our friends who lives in the area. She suggested Sea House. I was thinking "Oh great, another pricey joint". But come to find out, don't judge a restaurant by its location!
ATMOSPHERE: Nestled within the Napili Kai Beach Resort sits this open-air eatery with a view 100 times better than Mama's Fish House. Though the minimalist interior decor is reminiscent of a cafeteria, the endless ocean views from each table including the bar are unparalleled and will end all qualms. A small lanai offers umbrella-protected seating also.
BREAKFAST & LUNCH MENUS: Eggs, pancakes, bar-style apps, soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers.
FOOD: Sweet Onion Soup Our friend who recommended we eat here said this was a good version. Sold as I love onion soup! The bowl was a good portion size, filled with a perfectly balanced broth of sweet and savory flavors. A traditional bread slice floated on top with lots of Gruyere cheese. Recommended!
Corned Beef Hash They offer several egg-based breakfast platters that include a plethora of different meats, veggies and toppings. I love canned corned beef but here they make it fresh. The ratio of corned beef to potatoes were perfect. My only gripe was that some of the diced onions were too raw and should've been cooked more. The platter came with two eggs of your cooking choice, ordinary breakfast potatoes that were oven roasted and toast. Hearty portion for the price.
SERVICE: Male server took great care of us. I was a little apprehensive of his demeanor at first but he did a great job.
OVERALL: What a nice and relaxing time we had! The views were awesome, the service good, the food tasty and best of all it was priced affordably even with that...
Read moreI will be 55 years old next month and remember when the island only had a convenience store. The sugar cane train was the main attraction & I remember when the Hyatt Ka’napali was brand new and I have been coming to the Seahouse ever since I was a kid.
We always stayed at the Royal Lahaina bungalows when I was a kid , every summer for 1-2 months and the Seahouse was my grandma’s absolute favorite spot. I now take my grandkids.
I’ve never had a bad meal here or bad service. The ambience is amazing. I alway book my reservation right at sunset and it’s always breathtaking. The staff are amazing. The live music. My absolute favorite restaurant on the island. I’ve never not eaten here on a trip.
Just had an amazing dinner tonight. My grandkids loved it. The filet mignon was exquisite. Our waitress was amazing. Everyone in the restaurant was amazing as usual. This a must go to. I have only eaten dinner here and lunch once and it was and is always worth every penny. The sunsets will blow ur mind.
I love the Nāpili Kai resort. The tiki guy lights all the torches right at sunset. It’s just so beautiful. True Maui. I recommend this restaurant to everyone I know who is headed to Maui. Have so many great memories. Don’t miss this spot or any of all the local owned establishments.
