This place is so amazing to see. I love that you can feel the pride in every aspect of the place. As 911 approaches it’s humbling to read all of the conflicts we have been through and still continue to keep America free. I’m so proud to be apart of that history and I feel a large lump in my throat when I sit there and read my fallen brothers and sister’s profiles and stories. -GySgt, USMC RETIRED

Spent Memorial Day with some veteran biker buddies of mine. Beautiful venue. Very dignified and respectful. I believe that it's still under construction. There seemed to be some construction materials around the area. I also hope they'll eventually install more shade. Let me tell you, South Texas is hot!!!

I love this place. Great scenery. Great place to teach kids about our war heroes. What they sacrificed for us to be here in the 🇺🇸. Feels good seeing my big brother. Spc. Mark A Zapata. Operation Iraqi Freedom Aug. 15, 2004 Thank you for service. Gone but Never Forgotten R.I.P

Our visit there was very memorable and meaningful. Two family members have their pavers there. The sign and map diagram in the front was a huge help for us to locate them. We sat on the benches provided and prayed and sang their favorite hymns to our loved ones. It will remain in our memory forever. Thanks to all who in the community who donated and provided this Memorial. There aren't enough words to convey the appreciation and the meaning this has for our...

This afternoon, my wife and I had the pleasure of meeting 98 year old Col. Frank Plummer (Ret.). Col. Plummer served in WW2, Korea, and Vietnam. He founded the Veteran's War Memorial of Texas in 1999 in McAllen. He and his wife were visiting the memorial today to take measurements for a new statue to be erected in March 2024. Col. Plummer is very interesting and has some great stories to share. Excellent memorial, well...
