This giant eagle, never has what the surrounding giant eagles have when it comes to meat, produce or even spices! Every time I come here for something they NEVER have it. On top of that, on a Tuesday morning before 11 am I should be able to get competent assistance. I know they have a disability including thing, but you cannot have the entire store run by disabled people. There were TWO people “supervising” every single register. At the self check out the girl didn’t even know what they had and had to ask when I know she’s worked there almost 4 years. It’s just ridiculous at this point. I’ll drive farther to go somewhere else from now on. Even at the pharmacy when I get prescriptions, the guy who was helping me had long greasy hair didn’t look clean and his fingernails were long than mine! And I have acrylic nails! Just gross. The guys in the meat department are always super rude to me, but kind to my husband and the guy at the fish counter can never understand what you’re asking for and then talks too much about personal stuff. Read moreOn April 16, 2017 the store was closing at 4pm I called to double check because I was coming from East of town. I got there 10 minutes to 4pm I just needed flowers and I was told by an employee while taking up the sidewalk to the door that they were closed. I said "I just need flowers" and she repeatedly said "we are closed" I said "you close at 4pm I still have 10 minutes and I just need flowers" while talking to another employee who was leaving she rudely said "well we are closed". I use to stop at this Giant Eagle to get flowers on the way to the cemetery every month, however after this experience I will never go again. I understand that it was Easter and they had different hours but when I called they should have said they were closing the doors at 3:40pm or whenever they did. Read moreThis is a VERY busy Giant Eagle. Today was no exception. I misread the sale ad for the correct quantity to qualify for a big discount. The cashier kindly advised I go to Customer Service to correct my error. There was only one person in line there, but I had to wait 30 minutes for assistance. Why not open q second window in Customer Service? Aldi's reacts quickly when checkouts have a line of two customers or a delay develops. Also, Aldi's allows a cashier to process returns and service issues. A manager simply provides an approval. Giant Eagle does offer a few great specials. I was there for an exceptional Dr. Pepper/Mountain Dew sale. I do appreciate below market pricing, but if Giant Eagle would instead lower pricing across all products, I may shop there...
