I have frequented several of Furniture Buy Consignment Shops and this one in particular. I have both purchased and sold items with Furniture Buy Consignment and find their staff helpful and friendly. Finding a stand up business with good customer service these days can be a challenge so when I find one I like to toot their horn. I recommend these guys to all my friends. I've found some great finds at excellent prices and have quickly sold some items with a minimum of fuss to me. My main concern is the lack of transparency and accountability, which makes it very difficult to determine whether this is a scam. I consigned a furniture item valued at $1,800, and under the agreement, I should have received $900. Instead, they listed the item in their inventory at the incorrect price of $399, without any instruction or approval from me, and it was sold immediately. As a result, I was only paid $250 initially. After raising the issue, they provided an additional $200, leaving me with just $450 in total — a $450 loss compared to the agreed amount.
