I used to love this place but it just isn’t the same. Long check out lines, unhelpful staff. Today I witnessed a manager speak condescendingly to a customer who was trying to explain that there were multiple items in a clearance section. He talked over her, telling her that the items weren’t on sale and were, in fact, full price. She tried to explain that she understood but that there were a number of that same item in that sale section, so it’s understandable that people would think they were on sale. At the same time, two other customers (myself included), had items that were in sale sections but were not on sale. The cashiers and managers all acted as if it was the fault of the customers. I had asked the checker if she could check the price of a small item i had in my cart and she refused. She then pointed to the price and read it slowly, as if I couldn’t read.
I understand that sometimes things get put back in the wrong section—but 3 of 5 people in the checkout line had the same experience, and this was in the first hour of the store being open today. I doubt there was a rush of people in there at 9 am, randomly moving non-sale merchandise to sale sections. One young cashier was apologetic and genuinely tried to help, but the rest seemed annoyed by...
Read moreLove this place! Now I really know what all the buzz is about when people say that they spend their entire paychecks in this store. When you walk in they have many pieces of furniture for sale. They have corner stands for photos or little trinkets you want to show off. Unique small lockers that would probably be great for a man cave or a retro room military type room. It was so cool. When you get inside there are sales galore. Big percentages off of books, movies, etc. Many books and movies are Christian. They are geared up for St. Patrick’s Day and Easter. I can’t wait to shop here for the Easter Baskets. I can’t believe that all their current future holidays are already discounted. There are a few rows full of Spring Splendor!! Many different designs of plate setting with all their coordinated pieces and accessories. BBQ outdoor accessories as well. Love all of their home decor. They have Police, Firemen, military, U.S Flag items. Everything needed for any hobby. Tons of fabric, threads, flowers, doll houses, little pieces for it. Although I didn’t purchase anything, I did start to take inventory of all the possibilities for...
Read moreHobby lobby is like Joanne fabrics, Pat catans and Michael's. What I like about hobby lobby is the variety. They have tons to make crafts whether from wood, jewellery, kids crafts, anything you can think of. They have wonderful furniture and collectables. My favorite is the sea section because I can go in and know what I'm taking home to deck out my bathroom. They have a section of horses and wild west statues, key hangers, horse shoes, cowboy and Indian statues, that go great in my family room. They have modern stuff for the kiddos too. Star wars posters, pictures, mats. Avengers, super hero pictures and even a great selection of toys. I love the wide array of picture frames and shadow boxes as well as I have picked up on this hobby. The scrap books and scrap booking items, the stickers and embeleshments, all great for beginners to pros. Basically, anything you want to find, didn't know you were looking for, or have to have is at hobby lobby! They always have great sales and you can't leave empty handed. They are closed on Sundays though. Family oriented...
