I have no idea how any of the reviews mention anything positive other than a large selection. I wasnt keen to eat at a buffet but I was accompanying my son who loves variety. I asked if I could order something else and was told no. Fine, I didn't want to be weird so I gave it a try. From the disinterested staff who had to be flagged down to the unkempt dining room I cannot think of a single nice thing to say. I hate to say anything if I can't say something nice but I feel a duty to the public to share my experience. The selection is large but that only means you'll have many chances to be disappointed. The trays were mostly empty. I didn't mean most of the trays were empty, I mean trays had one or two things left in them, left to dry out. The dumplings were so hard I couldn't cut them with a knife and fork so I bit the meaty part only to be met with what I assume was an Italian chicken meatball inside. That bite went straight into a napkin. I didn't want to offend anyone or ruin my son's meal so I kept quiet. I tried the general tso's chicken and gagged. That went into a napkin. The pepper steak was tender but in a disconcerting way with an odd non-flavor. Napkin. I kept looking for something so I made a second trip, careful to only get the smallest sample. Room temperature chicken and broccoli: napkin. Egg roll. Half eaten. The white rice is in a large communal pot with a paddle in a bowl of rice riddled water. Can that be legal? I gave up, fearing I'd get sick and went to grab some fruit. Melon was next to olives and pickles- odd but ok. Kimchi and mussels were between chocolate eclairs and banana with red sauce. Um, no. I tried a pretty little cup of what was clearly thawed purchased espresso mouse. It turns out the watermelon was like fruit leather, the honeydew was tangy (old?) and the mouse was like eating tepid coffee butter ( but from a cute plastic bowl.) I kept trying to find something to eat but didn't want to get sick. Surely there are rules about temperature and time? Our water glasses sat empty for at least half the time we were there- no refills, no check in . I had just begrudgingly quietly sent my credit card with the server I flagged down when my son declared it was the worst meal he can remember eating and he's concerned he didn't properly hydrate for the upcoming stomach ache he was sure to have. Oh, how I wish he had spoken up sooner - id have quit eating far sooner and asked to not be charged. But I paid and we left. Oh, I'm wrong, one more good thing came from the visit: we bonded over the things we didn't say while eating. $40 later and we had a good laugh and a home...
Read moreMy family and myself walked in and they had maybe 10 tables total (place is good sized so not busy at all) and lady behind counter just looked at us and never said a word. Stood there for 10 min before somebody came to get us to sit us down
Menu isn't very big but it does look good place is clean and looks like a nice place.
We was wrong. Good was gross. I had general tsos and chicken and broccoli
General tsos was worst I've ever had my entire life. The chicken and broccoli was OK-ISH at best the chicken tasted like it had been steamed and paper thin. Was like chewing on a snail. Broccoli was good and crunchy though
I tried some of my wife's food and even our sons food he picked out and didn't like any of it. We didn't get 2nd plates just waited for check and left.
The best thing I had here was a pork egg roll 🤦♂️ and I don't even care for them normally and my coke
Their is alot better places to eat in the area than this and we will never ever be back
P.s. I didn't even get a fortune in my fortune...
Read moreService is good. Restaurant is clean. However as a few other reviews has mentioned, a lot of the food has a strange sweetness to it. I found this especially true with the Lomein (which tasted like it had been out for a little bit), the peanut butter chicken, and the crab ragoons. Besides the lomein, most of the other food tasted relatively fresh.
Just a little surprised by the sweetness of the food; usually if I go for Chinese food I'm looking for something savory, but maybe other people love this. Just wasn't exactly my favorite.
Edit: second time here and everything still is sweet. Came by at lunch time and most of the food was warm, but there were a few things that were cold or lukewarm at best, like the broccoli which was basically just unseasoned and sitting in pools of water, and the green beans which were good, but cold. The Peanut Butter chicken tasted pretty bland and the crust was burnt. Some of the lighting at the buffet was burnt out and people said it was hard to...
