I went to Best-Buy on Evans Road today on my lunch break I was in that store for 55 minutes, asked for help 3x from 3 different people... I was just ready to leave that store with a new computer in my hands, but nobody, I mean literally Nobody bothered to assist me. When I walked in I told the associate at the door what I was there for, I was told heād send someone over, 15 minutes later I went to Geek Squad, I was told theyād call someone over for me, & just to wait by the register in that area, 15 more min. asked the guy at the front door if there was a manager, but I was told he was busy, I gave them the benefit of the doubt and again waited until my time was up. I wasted my entire hour lunchbreak for absolutely nothing! What a mistake that was!! I have a very limited amount of time to shop, being that I work full time and then some, Iām a mom trying to shop for a birthday gift for my daughter whoās always with me, when Iām not at work. (That leaves me with only my lunch break to go shopping for her birthday.) I was so overwhelmed with excitement when I walked into that store today, I really was! I was just Ready to get that one special gift for her! Iāve been working so hard and saving up as much as I possibly could afford to, just to make this year special for her, after such a trying year. To be completely honest, it was really just super disappointing and super frustrating for me. I ended up leaving in tears. Once I got to my car the joy I had started this journey with had quickly turned into frustration, which in turn switched to pure disappointment. One would think that after an hour of waiting and pleading for help, it wouldnāt be hard to get someone to do their job, and offer just a little bit of guidance, input, or assistance in which computer or laptop I should purchase. Iāve been scraping together every penny I could, and saving as much as I could afford for as long as I possibly could. Today is 3 days before her birthday, and I Finally met my goal for the amount Iād need to get my little girl this one extra special gift that she totally deserves. I was in that store for 52 minutes, I asked for help 3x from 3 different people... I finally went back to the man at the door and pleaded to him to have someone help, and all he could say, in a very condescending manner was āDid you want me to try to motivate them more?ā That was the icing on the cake for me. I left and called the numerous I could find online, spoke with āDarleneā in customer relations, she took my phone number, the phone then disconnected, and she never called me back. I then called again, and I somehow got the same āDarleneā, she could hear the disappointment in my voice but she had the same attitude as the door guy at the store, and just said what she could to shut me up, and then said someone from the store would contact me! The store?? The store that refused to help me???? I asked if theyād do anything about it and her immediate response was āWe would only compensate you if you purchased something!ā ! Did she mean the purchase that I had damn near begged to make for almost an entire hour, while in the store??? I can Not believe this was BestBuyās āCustomer Relations Departmentā!! How do you let your staff treat customers like that, and get away with it??? Iām not big on reviews but this needed to be shared!!!
We ordered a refrigerator from Best Buy on 11/8/2021. We knew then that it was going to be delivered on 1/8/2022 and accepted that to get the model and color we wanted.
On 1/8/2022, we got a call that the delivery truck was coming. We took all the food out of our current fridge and moved furniture around so that it could be installed. When they took it off the delivery truck and took the wrapping off of it, we could see there was something wrong with the freezer door. It didn't look like it was closing correctly or sealing correctly and the plastic bottom under the freezer door was twisted. Even the delivery person said he would not accept a fridge in that condition. He called someone and the lady on the phone was a bit rude. She told us they didn't have more in stock and it would be 10-12 weeks before we could get another one. To appease us for our inconvenience, she offered a $100 gift card. She said I would get a call in 24 hours to go over my options. No one called. I did get an email on 1/9/2022 to reschedule delivery. So I assumed they had found the same model fridge and color in stock. I scheduled the delivery for today, 1/14/2022.
I received a call around 9am that the delivery truck would be here in 20 minutes. So again, we took the food out of our fridge and moved furniture around. But then received a call several minutes later that they were not coming. The driver said the refrigerator freezer door was visibly broken. I assume they were trying to deliver the same one from 1/8/2022. I called Best Buy customer service and was told again that I would be getting a call in 24 hours. This customer service is just unhelpful. I asked them if there was someone that could actually help me, I was put on hold and eventually hung up on. I called again. They keep telling me I need to wait to receive a call tomorrow. When I said "I've been waiting for over two months and last time I was told that someone was going to call me they never did", they told me I should call back tomorrow if I don't receive a call.
I've tried to see if I could get any better customer service from the customer service chat on the Best Buy web page and it wasn't really any more useful. They told me to call customer service. They said I wouldn't have to wait 24 hours. I called customer service and they told me I need to wait 24 hours.
The in-store sales people that we dealt with when looking at refrigerators have been pleasant and helpful. Even the delivery people have been pleasant and helpful. But the customer service representatives I've been dealing with have not been of any help at all and the first one we dealt with was not pleasant either but at least she gave us the $100 gift card (that we have not received yet). I have been very disappointed with the customer service and this whole experience.
And the very last person I talked to was the most rude of them all. I asked to talk to her supervisor and she said she had no supervisor. She basically was talking over me and wanted to get me...

I have documentation of a chat promising an install date they agreed to just to get the deal from another outfit that could deliver sooner. I actually asked twice about that date as I am used to their bate and switch antics. I accepted the date they offered but of course they never called and never showed up. Thatās one full day wasted. They knew they had me as the other company I was going to buy from was now not possible. They scheduled for today. Can you guess what happened? No show. The guy claimed he knocked on my door. He was supposed to call before coming. I was home the entire time. Second full day of work lost. I was very upset. Offered a gift card after new installation date 3 weeks later and once it was installed. This was over $3000 in electronics. Wouldnāt even state amount of card. Why would anyone want to spend more money at this place that lies, manipulates, bait and switches and ultimately could not give a damn about customer service. I will never buy from this place again. They are the worst of the worst along with their douche squad
