HOBBY LOBBY IN MENTOR IS EXTREMELY RACIST and I will not shop there any more! I have a furniture upsell business for 2.5 years now so I'm there pretty often buying fabric, spray paint, thread, needles, etc. And every single time I go there I get the worst customer service ever like they blatantly dont want to assist me!! For example, the last time I went.. theres a little bell on the table for you to notify the clerk that you need assistance getting your fabric cut. I rang the bell stood there at that table for almost 30 minutes. I rang the Bell a total of 3 times. A lady shopping told me the lady was in the very next aisle over and she witnessed her peek out at me and kept working. I literally had to walk into the aisle and ask her if she could help me and she said "ok" but still didnt step out of that aisle for another 15 minutes!! I rang the Bell again then decided to go back to the aisle to she if she was still there. She met me coming out of the aisle and said she had forgot I was waiting. BUT I RANG THE BELL AGAIN! I will go out of my way to take my business to Michael's or JoAnn's fabric before I give Hobby Lobby another thin dime. It's always something with those people in that place! SHAME ON YOU...
Read moreCustomer service was terrible. I asked where I could find foam padding for underneath an aquarium. The associate asked if it was like felt. I said no, like a rubberized foam padding or mat. She proceeded to have me follow her, we got to an isle where she pointed out felt. I reiterated that I am not looking for felt and that it was like a rubber mat. She had me follow again, this time to the Styrofoam section where she pointed out the green and white hard Styrofoam. I eventually found foam padding in sheets and rolls in a different craft section. Go to checkout and wait in line patiently while the cashier continued on a lengthy conversation with the previous customer after their transaction was complete. When it was my turn to check out we got half way through ringing things out when another customer came to the other side and asked where to do returns. I was told to wait while she finished the return. I went to another line, waited too long with a line of 10 people while 6 employees congregated and talked with each other in the...
Read moreI went in looking for engagement party items & there were none. Only wedding & bridal items. It was about 1/2 an aisle of merchandise. The items were all 50% off however I was disappointed. Yarn- if you're a yarn-er, go to Michaels. All yarn was 30% however there were about 6-8 skeins of one color with 2 or 3 different die lots in that color. If I weren't a yarn-er & if I didn't need 5 or 6 or 7 skeins for a project, it would have been fine. 95% of yarn is Yarn Bee brand. No great pastels & no great vibrant colors. Michael's for yarn. It's not worth it even with the 30% off as most of us require more than 2 or 3 skeins for a project. Store was very clean. Not crowded. Tons of merchandise. Many great pictures however I couldn't find one that was perfect. Scratches or flaws are not my cup of tea. For a young person just starting out, great place to go. Being 52, I look for excellent quality & excellent pricing. I am not willing to compromise...
