Record Den — Attraction in Mentor

Stopped in for my annual visit these last 2 days . I had to return as I lost track of time the first day digging through maybe ... maybe . Half their used Cds. First night I found a sealed VERY rare album used let alone new of a side project from one of our local Metal bands. Second day I had only planned to aquire the one album I decided to pass on and check out the racks I'd not browsed while digging through the used. I did get that and some others but I also happened across a 2nd copy of that grail type item when I browsed the clearance rack of all places! This is why I stop in everytime the specfic item I may be looking for I don't find but I find something even higher up my want list. Yes they will order items in but thats no fun as and isn't my style. Perhaps I'll be able to stop in sooner given my good fortune. Highly recommend you at least go browse around. Gaurentee you not walk out empty handed.Ive never had that happen , as I tend to always buy...

Bad experience. We were trying to help a family who had a member pass away and had this vinyl record collection In the collection there are about 250 vinyl records . Great shape and great titles. We were trying to find help since we don’t know anything about this. We just brought in about 25 to have the staff look at them. Because we were looking for help and wanted to just know if these records are worth selling to them But as soon as the staff knew we couldn’t sell them today the female staffer was rude and threw up her hands like we were wasting her time. It was the worst experience I have had In any store. She never recognized us as customers now or in the future. Never looked me in the eyes and said she couldn’t help us at this time.

The male staffer was kind and talked to us as customers. He was very helpful!

I stopped in today with a large-ish collection of vintage records from an estate, quite frankly not expecting much from them. (WHAT? The Jerry Vale collection isn't popular with kids these days? Who knew?)

Surprise! I was right - the era of music I brought isn't much sought after, which the gentleman behind the counter was absolutely lovely at discussing with me with empathy, despite being the only one working at the time. He did pick up a couple, which I was grateful for since they'll hopefully have new homes, not go into a dumpster.
