I have nothing bad to say about the staff or the set up. Very friendly and professional and the room and set up was impressive upon first glance. We had a party of 6. 4 adults who have done several escape rooms in the past, and 2 children who were veterans (8 and 16). Overall we were all disappointed in the experience. There were no "riddles" just finding the numbered and labeled clues around the room....almost too easy and we completed the mission with 33 minutes to spare! To be honest, we were not even clear what the mission was to begin with! When it ended, my 8 year old said "that was it?". Yes we asked for hints, because even when we figured out the next step, it was not clear how to execute it. Plus, because it was a linear puzzle, everyone had to be working on the same part of the puzzle at the same time, making it frustrating for a large group with many opinions. Other rooms I have done elsewhere have several different riddles and clues that work together and can be worked on simultaneously by members of your party so everyone feels like they are contributing...not so here. We were excited at the superhero concept, and thought this would be an exciting Father's Day outing for all ages, but left us all feeling underwhelmed. Rewrite the clues and puzzles and the concept is great! Also having two stories in the same room made it confusing as well...there are clues you have to "ignore" if they don't pertain to your backstory...just split the room in two, and give each story a designated room. Lot son bells and whistles, no meat. Next time I will spend the extra money and go to some of the tried and true places we have...
Read moreTook a group of six to do their Star Wars room last week and it was lots of fun. We have done multiple escape rooms across the state and west coast and this one was memorable for it's theme and puzzle originality. Be aware that there is quite a bit more math involved in this room than you might expect in a typical escape room, by nothing that gets in the way of the fun. The staff was friendly and played along well during the game itself, especially when checking in with us over the radio. Providing prop lightsabers in game for flashlights was a clever touch.
My critiques, sans any spoilers, were due to the roundabout nature of the clues. There was one clue in particular that was easy to miss and very well hidden in the moment as it blended in to the natural decoration of the room too well. We ended up getting stuck for nearly 20 minutes trying to find it and ended up needing to ask for a hint. There was also a puzzle using a decoder that was rather counterintuitive. Each person in our group attempted it multiple times only to ask for a hint which gave us instructions that went against what the clues implied. But these reasons are likely what makes it the harder of the two rooms they currently offer. Still a fun experience! I can definitely see us going back again if we are...
Read moreThis was the best escape room I’ve been to. Having been to about 15 rooms in the last 3 years. These rooms are clever, well thought out, and good for the whole family. Definitely a must for younger kids, as it is super child friendly. A lot of rooms are tougher for kids because they cannot dynamically think their way through a situation. These rooms are very right in front of you but still challenging. Do not miss this room if you’re looking for an opportunity to try out an escape room for the first time. Value is EXTREMELY good. Don’t fret over the price of the room, the room is worth twice...
