My wife and I decided to go here for valentines day with my sister and her husband. We got there early just after 3pm to beet the rush for the night. We ended up ordering about 5min before my sister and husband did. Since they came in a littler later. I ordered the Chicken littles with a side salad and my wife ordered the Chicken Medeira. Later my sister ordered. They ordered the ribye. About 20min or so later they brought my sister and husbands dinner to them. I still never received my salad. After my sister and husband was halfway finished with their meal. I caught the waitress and asked, how much longer until our food? We ordered 5min before them. She acted surprised and went to check. She came back and said about 5min. They finally bring out my wifes dinner. Then asked, "is there anything else I can do?" I said, "Yes, you could bring my dinner out anytime now." She asked what I ordered. Unbelieveable! I told her Chicken Littles with the side salad. A few minutes later they brought my cold chicken littles and a warm wilted salad. The mashed potatoes were stiff and cold. I asked why was it sitting for so long and never brought out to me? They got the manager involved. I explained what had happened, pointed to my sister and husband's plates that were almost empty. I told him we ordered before them. He offered to take the Chicken littles off the bill and I could take them home. I agreed, we didn't have time to wait another 20-30min. I walked my wife out to the car and realized I left my bag to go on the table. I ran back in to get them. I caught the same waitress and asked if I could get my to go box. She went to the manager and he came back to apologize. He said, they were thrown away and that they are not supposed to do that. People forget and come back all the time to get their food. He apologized again and said, he would deducted my wifes Chicken Madeira from the bill as well. That was Feb 14th. It is now Feb19th. He never deducted my wifes order from the bill. It was the worst Valentines dinner I have ever experienced. For now on, I'm cooking for my wife. It was a total waste of time and money only to leave frustrated. Luckly I still enjoyed the time...
Read moreI love Cheesecake Factory. Let me just say that first. I will go there every single opportunity I can afford. In this case, I had family members come in from out of town. They don't have a Cheesecake Factory anywhere near them and I was really excited to introduce them.
They seated us immediately, which is fantastic for a party of nine. We figured out what we wanted and made our orders. The food came out decently quick, and I dug right in. I was really enjoying my plate until I looked up and saw my family member push her plate away.
She had ordered the chipotle chicken pasta, because she really likes spicy food. She asked my husband if he would like to bring it home with him, so he tried a bite. He also loves spicy food, but he made a face and said no thank you. That could peel the paint off a car. I like spicy but that isn't even pleasant. Another family member tried it as well, and said he didn't want the leftovers.
We told the waitress how spicy it was and we were then informed that the chef can't control how spicy the Chipotle peppers are day-to-day. That may be so, but there is such a thing as tasting food, and you can control how spicy you make a dish and a sauce. A 20-something dollar plate of pasta just thrown away with maybe a quarter of it eaten, and just well yeah it's spicy from the waitress. The three people that tried it seek out spice everywhere they go. So I didn't even need to try it to know that it had to be a crazy amount.
It seems silly that one thing could ruin the whole dinner, but it did definitely change the mood at the table and I felt awful that I had raved about Cheesecake Factory. It's never about the mistake, it's about what happens after, and in this case it was...
Read moreMy son and I visited the Mesa, Az. location for lunch at 1:30 08/25/22. He had never been to The C.F. before. The hostess was not friendly, nor did she smile. She instructed a young lady to take us to 95. When we arrived, 95 and surrounding booths were occupied by lots of silverware, napkins and small plates. A lot of each. We were returned to the front, then back to 95. The temperature was approximately 80 to 82° in our restaurant section. I informed a couple different people that it seemed much too hot for a restaurant. I hot different stories, but no results. I had the Shepherd's Pie, my son, the orange chicken. His food was fresh and delicious. Mine was very good. Very enjoyable until I pulled a hair out of my mouth, which had come from the middle of the food. I was finally "done". I went back to the front area, where it was cool. My son finished his meal and came to meet me. The waitress was generically apologetic. The manager deducted only the Shepherd's Pie. I have been here several times. I might return, but probably not. Things go wrong sometimes, anywhere and everywhere. The attitude of management to make things right with a paying customer is the great divider. Summary: not inexpensive, decent quality food from a seemingly very bottom line corporation. I don't know if they are slowly losing market share, but I think they...
