New review! My kids love this place. Not only they enjoy cooking, helping, doing hands on stuff, baking and so much more, but they also have made friends here. Definitely the staff is amazing! I know this business will continue to flourish and grow because Jamie and her team are amazing! My daughter came from Camp saying it was the best day of her life. Hopefully they will add more classes for homeschoolers Thursdays or Fridays!
Another updated review! I continued being amazed and surprised by this place in an awesome way! My children loved the last day of Spring camp. They made pizza from scratch including the pizza dough! And they could add their own ingredients or toppings. They made the cutest slime and play dough as part of the camps. They also made some friends and said they had fun. They said they are treated with kindness and that they have had some funny teachers there and met some funny friends. What a blessing and opportunity that my kids can be part of this place.
Updated review- We were here for second time. We met Jamie and she was beyond amazing. Definitely she is a woman who knows how to connect with families and kids, makes sure you all feel welcomed and that you have an awesome experience. She also made sure to teach all kind of things in a fun manner: countries, fractions, spices, flavors and so much more while she provided a total beautiful hands-on and sensory experience. My kids keep asking to go back. As a homeschool family, my kidâs dad will be excited to know all our kids learned and experienced here. We are beyond blessed to live relatively close to a place like this. If you are a family who want to make sure your child has a total hands-on experience in such a fun manner, this is the place to go. We have tried other classes for homeschooling children and my children refuse to do other type of classes. They only want to go here!
Original review- It was way much better than expected! My kids loved it and they are...
Read more10/13/24: Edited to 4 stars bc after speaking with the owner, Jamie, about my concerns and she stated she'd be implementing some changes to the camp. She also invited us back to try some of the weekly cooking classes which are much smaller and much more of a hands-on experience that I was expecting. My son had a great time at these classes and even wants to return with his friends for his next birthday party. So thank you Jamie for reaching out and listening and looking for ways to improve!
7/8/24: The kids camp isn't worth it IMHO. My son did the 3-day Wonka camp which cost $330 and it seems like they spent a lot of the day watching movies and coloring and not a lot of time cooking. My son told me the adults made a lot of the food and he occasionally got to add an egg or quickly mix ingredients in but the kids do not get to make anything from start to finish which I found to be very disappointing. I was hoping he would learn some new cooking skills but that wasn't the case at all. At other cooking classes I've taken him to I would be given a menu so I knew exactly what he'd be making but no menu was given here, I had to ask my son what he made at the end of each day. And no recipes were given either. Overall it felt like the camp was ran more like a daycare than a...
Read moreMy daughter has attended one class each week during the month of March so far, as well as a kids night out class! She absolutely loves coming here, and asks each week when the next class will be. The length of the weekly classes are just right for a date night too! We can't say enough good things about this very affordable option for fun carefree learning at Flour Power without all the mess in your own home to clean up! In a world where dining out and food delivery options are becoming more and more prevalent, it is imperative that we instill good habits at a young age! They also offer a membership for 1 class per week at an incredibly discounted price that we'll absolutely be taking advantage of! Thank you to the Flour Power team, we love that this is an option...
