Veteran's Park — Attraction in Miami Lakes

This little park is beautiful! It is by a nice lake and surrounded by a cute neighborhood. It is always clean and has a lot of activities you can partake of, like the Parcourse Stations, which are spread all around the park, with exercise machines. Also if you are a little more hardcore, by the basketball court (it's a half a court actually) there is another exercise area with machines and very specific exercise routines (see photos).

There are 2 large party kiosks, the kiosks have 2-3 grills each. and lots of picnic areas under large trees with lots of shade, that have picnic tables. There is a large covered playground for the kids and an uncovered area with swings. Very popular in the evenings.

The restrooms are super clean, and can you believe it.... They actually smell good!! Go City of Miami Lakes ;)

I love walking around this park, people are very friendly and courteous, the park is maintained very well, no pets allowed inside of the park but there is a sidewalk around the perimeter and it even has doggie poop bags and trash cans, so you can bring Fido with you.

Miami Lakes is a beautiful and tranquil Town where its residents live, work and play. As the Town of Miami Lakes continues to grow beautifully, many events are scheduled throughout the year to create a sense of community and to enjoy what life has to offer.

A favorite location for many of the events is Picnic Park West because it is located in an area of high concentration of residences, apartments and businesses.

The location is the '4th of July' preferred location as residents enjoy music, food, interfacing with the Municipal Government Council and a fireworks display that is presented from across Graham Dairy Lake.

The park itself has slides, exercise equipment, a basketball court, picnic areas, bathroom facilities and a community center, named after former Councilwoman Mary Collins.

Park West has lots to offer and it is the daily spot where those who live nearby exercise and enjoy the outdoors. If in the area, visit. If you live close by, come and enjoy the facilities. If you want to be part of a community that is best in class, move...

This is a great park I like to frequent. The playground is a nice place I like to bring my son to play. At night, the walking path is very well lit and very popular with the locals looking for a relaxing walk or stroll. There workout stations all along the path, as well as a half court to play basketball. It may be a small park, but it has a lot of charm. There are many weekend birthday parties held in the rentable shelters that encircle the walking path. On Saturdays, there is even a little outdoor market where you can buy many things such as flavored popcorn or home style arepas. This is also a popular park for the local Pokemon Go community. Multiple pokestops and four gyms for you and your friends to attack make this a go to spot for the local Pokemon Go community during the monthly community days...
