What an experience we had at Butchers Cuisine in Miami Lakes! I was honestly surprised to find the restaurant fairly empty on a Saturday night—more people need to know about how incredible this place is (hence this review). From the start, we were greeted with a warm welcome by Alexa, who also served us throughout the evening. She introduced herself right away and brought us menus that were unlike anything I’ve ever seen—unique and fun (I’ll leave out the details as a surprise for new guests).
We began with an appetizer, and let me just say: it was the best croqueta I’ve ever tasted—and that’s saying a lot as a local with Latin roots. Shortly after, fresh bread arrived at the table, piping hot and clearly baked in-house. As a baker myself, I can say with confidence those were made from scratch, and they were outstanding.For entrées, we ordered the churrasco and the octopus. The churrasco was cooked perfectly to our requested medium-rare—melt-in-your-mouth tender and trimmed to perfection. The octopus, which can often be hit or miss, was flawless: tender, not chewy, and with excellent texture. When I asked Alexa if she recommended it, her smile said it all, and she was right.
We enjoyed the meal so much that we wanted to thank the owner directly. Instead, we had the chance to speak with the chef, who we congratulated on delivering such a phenomenal experience. Alexa remained attentive throughout, checking in on us regularly without ever being overbearing.

One of the things I loved most is that they offer a variety of lunch specials, giving you plenty of delicious options to choose from without breaking the bank. Whether you’re in the mood for something hearty or light, they’ve got you covered.
I started with their passionfruit sangria, and wow. It’s tropical, refreshing, and perfectly balanced not too sweet, just right. A great way to kick off your meal.
For my main, I went with the Lomo Saltado tender beef sautéed with onions and peppers, paired with fluffy white rice and crispy French fries. It’s comforting, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I also got to try one of their sandwiches, and it didn’t disappoint bold, savory, and served on fresh bread.
And let’s not forget dessert — the torrejas were divine. Warm, custardy, caramelized on the outside and soft on the inside like French toast, but elevated. A sweet ending to a fantastic meal.
The ambiance is modern and cozy, with a laid-back vibe that makes it perfect for lunch dates, family meals, or a casual solo break. The staff was friendly and attentive, always ready with great recommendations and a smile.

Read moreJust recently was at Hells kitchen for a dinner reservation and I could confidently say that THE BUTCHERS CUISINE IS A MUCH BETTER PLACE FOR A DINNER EXPERIENCE. A solid 10 of of 10 in all aspects. We started with a couple of appetizer, like the goat cheese croquettes, onion soup and the short rib tacos. The drinks where also a delight with the wonderful wine selection and the passion fruit sangria specialty. For the main course we did a variety of plates that included the snapper and crab meat with huancaina sauces, the porterhouse steak 32oz was a succulent selection of meat, the skirt steak and the filet minion was as delicious as expected.
