Selling at this farmers market was one of the most frustrating and unprofessional experiences I’ve had as a vendor.
The owner, Stan, is rude, dismissive, and runs things in a completely chaotic way. There are no clearly assigned vendor spots for new sellers. Instead, Stan has you literally follow him around the market for up to an hour, hoping someone canceled and a space magically opens up. You end up walking behind him like an idiot while he tries to “figure it out.” No plan, no structure.
What’s worse is that some vendors do have designated spots—but you have to be there for a while before they’ll even consider giving you one. Until then, you’re just treated like a temporary annoyance.
In my case, they initially gave me a spot, so I started unloading and setting up my coffee booth—only for them to come back later and tell me to move everything because someone else had prepaid for that exact space. I was then shoved between two tables with barely enough room to function. No apology. No help. Just a complete lack of respect for my time and effort.
The market could easily solve this by confirming availability the day before—especially for newer vendors. Instead, they waste your entire morning on a maybe. Time is money, and this market clearly doesn’t care about either.
If you’re considering selling here—don’t. Find a market that values vendors and has at least the bare minimum level of organization and...
Read moreJust moved from out of state and one thing I was looking forward to was the farmers market with the assumption that since it is Florida there would be a lot of options to choose from with seasonal produce.
I was definitely disappointed. Though they had a lot of organic options, a lot of the produce were items that I could easily get from whole foods or even Costco with the same branding, labels and stickers from the store. It seemed that a lot of the produce wasn't from local farmers which that is what I'm used to from a "local" farmers market.
The price of the produce showed no benefit back to me as a consumer. A lot of the produce was just as expensive or more expensive than whole foods or Costco for the exact same quality or worse from what I saw and tasted. I'd be willing to pay more for a superior product but with the produce I purchased, it was not it. I'd be able to get the same things for the same price and get to enjoy air conditioning.
Overall vibe was harsh. Had two small kids in a stroller and we could barely navigate anywhere due to the terrain. If you have a stroller, leave it in the car and prepare to carry them because corners are tight and there or not paths.
On a bright note, the food and merchandise vendors were great. There were a lot of options to choose from for food and they all let you sample the items on their menu. They were super friendly which made it...
Read moreFor fresh, organic food in Miami, the Coconut Grove Farmers Market is the place to be. I hadn’t been in a few years, but stepping back into this vibrant marketplace felt like coming home. The energy is still incredible, filled with friendly vendors, fresh local produce, and a community-focused atmosphere that makes it one of the best outdoor markets in Miami.
One of my favorite finds? The Lasagna Lady, serving up mouthwatering vegan and vegetarian lasagnas packed with flavor. Whether you’re plant-based or just love good food, this is a must-try! I also stopped by Modern Ancient Perfumes, where I discovered beautifully crafted natural perfume oils—perfect for those who appreciate non-toxic, holistic fragrances. And of course, the fresh fruit stand was overflowing with tropical delights like ripe mangoes, papayas, and coconuts, making it a true taste of South Florida.
Beyond the food and shopping, this market is a haven for those looking for all-natural beauty products, organic produce in Miami, and handmade goods from local artisans. While parking has changed due to the new apartment building next door, it’s still absolutely worth the visit. If you’re looking for a Miami farmers market with vegan food, holistic products, and great vibes, this is it. I’ll...
