One of my favorite Southern destinations is Miami. And don't let anyone tell you that you can't do it with kids. We loved our experience with the kids, and they loved it too. We went on a food tour of Little Havana, played at Venetian Pool, chowed down at Robert Is Here, explored Wynwood Walls and so much more! I had read the one star reviews prior to going but went anyways because it was my husband's idea. He rarely likes to do stuff & I didn't want to discourage something I always wish for. So away to Miami we went! Yea it was exactly what ppl were saying. Parking is annoying, we did get a good spot but it's annoying. Yes, you have to pay. It was crowded. Like REALLY CROWDED. Not enjoyable crowded. Worse than disney crowded because here was enclosed. Tight spaces. We went Sunday December 29th & got the flu from here. We have a 2 yr old. Not much for a younger tot to do. This place is better for 4-7 year olds. Kiddo got scared of the dinosaurs. Karaoke set up was soo unbelievably lame. Cheap dirty plastic props. (I get it, use cheap things, easy to replace because kids will destroy it). But I didn't even want to touch it, let alone put it on my head. The music selection had Moana so we chose that but there was no music, you just sing the lyrics on the screen in a closed room. That was the karaoke room. The craft that was $9 and advertised as designing your own glass. Was literally putting stickers on a glass. The program/map that the museum gave hyped it up way more than what it was. The create your own wrapping paper was literally drawing on an oversized 8x11. Yep. Lol I was like...creative wording to describe an activity lol. And all the activities were at capacity, closed or chaotic. It's fun to do once. The only way I could ever recommend coming here is on a Tuesday but not when school groups or summer camps would be there. I would definitely call ahead and speak to several employees to make sure you get the answer from several competent people. Otherwise it'd be a COMPLETE waste of your time. After we left, kid had more fun watching airplanes from MIA Airport.

Reply to owner: No doubt the employees were working hard. I did ask an attendant about the activity and she did confirm that it was just putting stickers on the glass. Those are the words that came out...

Last time I visited this museum I was a child. Currently the museum is adding some extra fun water play activities for outside. (It’s very much needed for the summer.)

This museum has two time slots you can reserve online, 10am-1:30pm and 2:30pm-6pm. This gives the staff time in between play session to clean and sanitize the rooms.

I think that’s great because you can definitely explore each area way before the time is up. Also serves as crowd control.

I’m going during the summer so there is a lot more kids than usual because of summer camp. The museum was very loud and hectic and I ended up taking the girls to the quiet room where we had to collect ourselves from the rowdiness of the kids.

There are a lot of things to touch and play with at the museum, lots of hands on activities which is great. The kids can put on costumes that are hanging on some hooks to feel more like a firefighter, police officer or baker.

We went while there was the Curious George exhibit which was nice (I’m not a huge fan) but it was a lot of interactive things to do.

They also have a playground for older kids. I didn’t take the kids out because of the amount of summer camp kids but it looked fun.

Inside of the museum there is a Subway by the entrance and gift shop. They also have a medium sized fish tank with almost nothing in there.

It was all around alright. The kids had fun but I really don’t see myself taking the kids more than once a year.

I feel like the music section should be repaired because they have a piano floor but not all the keys work. In another music room, the selections for the sounds of music didn’t work either.

Staff was okay, very helpful entrance staff. Everyone else walking around didn’t really ask if I needed help or explained much to the kids.

Parking is not free, you need the Pay by Phone app and for 3...
