Experience: Same damning experience. The ship was cleared efficiently, but getting to garage K was a Lovecraft-level Hell (and only my wife could make the trip due to the need to use overburdened charter buses and the extent of how many people were shunted into K). Then we had the privilege of suffering RC's monetization of the usage of their distant employee garage (it's not designed for that, so they had employees waylay the hapless exiters Chick-fil-A style at the exit because the garage is not properly designed for charging its occupants.

After that? Well, it was another .75 hour or so for her to make the trip from the garage to the Terminal A purgatory (I'm sure we were arriving for some manner of sin) and then the typical frustration of navigating our way back to normal throughways. I think we'll be trying for other, more affordable outside options next time. I've yet to have a good experience parking in the Port of Miami. Canaveral and Everglades are smaller, but superior in everything but the classes of ships they can host. Update: 3/12/23: Booked with Royal and arrived at terminal A thirty minutes before arranged check-in. Garage full. Typical situation involving taxis and people driving like confused lemmings. We were directed to Terminal K. Getting there was wretched, but I suppose that's typical here. There are great cruises here, but getting to them is a mess. K is RC employee parking, not a terminal, so I'm just hoping we'll be okay here. People aren't parked well here, taking up multiple spaces, which is not helpful.

Just a wretched experience to deal with. I can't declare anything better than two stars, but I'm feeling like one star is more appropriate.

Everybody that has jumped on our charter bus back to A is treating the arrival like a sick joke, and that's what it has been. First post: Summer of 22 My primary complaint about this port is the lack of indication of what terminal is for which cruise line. I came on a bad day and ended up stranded with my handicapped mother on the wrong side of the port before catching a taxi. I did not find those working at the port's central office to be of any help after walking past three full terminals and eventually finding no safe passage for our wheelchair and luggage. Frequently, the port was not friendly to handicapped that needed to traverse and distance. They offered neither shuttle assistance nor really helpful advice considering our situation, but in the end, our taxi got us to our terminal, which was modern and comfortable, as well as quite accessible to...

This port of Miami is an odyssey when it comes to leaving and entering. It's horrible. The authorities do nothing to improve traffic or make it work better. The cruisers set their schedules at the same time and the whole people wants to go at the same time. To those people I recommend that you can go after 1pm because the cruise line close the doors at 4pm so that means you have plenty of time to get there. The other thing is that the cruisers tell the people that they go at the same time for example (be there at 12) and everybody going to tbe same time and this is a mistake of them. In the end everything is a terrible disaster, both for the passengers and for the transport company. The policemen or officials who work there do not know how to direct the traffic and they do not care that one may suffer. The port of Miami is in trouble and when will the day come when something will be done to resolve this situation. If you don't want suffering go after 1pm. At 11 am still...

Port of Miami is the Cruise Capital of the World! 🌎 I strongly recommend you arrive at least two hours prior to departure.

IMPORTANT TIP: Always bring your passport in case of an emergency, such as an unexpected medical air evacuation or the ship docking at an alternate port in an emergency, even if your cruise says you won't need it. Like the saying goes “It’s better to be safe than sorry”. 👍

We’ve been on Carnival Cruise Lines in the past, but we don’t like the caliber of people on board. They are typically younger people who are there to party and looking to be seen on social media. We take cruises to relax and enjoy each other’s company and have fun preferably with middle age people who enjoy our company.
