This skin studio is AWESOME. I came here on a Saturday afternoon as a treat for myself for my birthday (which is in a few days). Street parking was sparse but I did end up finding a spot. There's a parking garage a short walk away as well. I walked in and the receptionist asked me to fill out a questionnaire. It asked what steps (toner, cleanser, moisturizer, etc) I use in my skincare routine, any medications or prescription topical treatments I'm using (that affect the skin), how my skin feels lately, what I want focused on, if I wanted my esthetician to explain each step to me or let me zone out, and if I wanted my feet raised and the table heated. Here's my only complaint about the entire experience - there was nowhere to sit while filling out the questionnaire and waiting. I'm guessing they do this so that you browse their store while you wait, but having a place to sit would have been kind of nice.
Their shop has an extensive selection of mid to luxury skincare, body care, skin supplements/powders, Sana branded clothing, and even shower affirmation cards. After about 5 minutes of browsing I was taken back by my esthetician, Desi. The entire skin studio is dimly lit, including the lobby and hallways. She led me through the hallway and behind a curtain to the room I would be having my facial in. I laid down, got under the blanket, and she raised my feet and turned on the heat on the table. Even the heat on the table is customizable - I had the option of medium or high heat.
The facial itself was very good. It started and ended with three deep breaths of some aromatherapy oils she had on her hands (which smelled great and was the perfect way to begin and cap off the experience). She explained each step as she was doing them (as requested) and the benefits of each product she was using, checking in periodically to make sure she was addressing my concerns and my skin's needs. She suggested an add-on midway through that she thought my skin would benefit from but she wasn't pushy about it. I declined. She gave me a neck massage while my mask sank in which was a nice touch.
After my facial, she gave one product recommendation and offered me samples of a few things (which I gladly accepted). She didn't write down each product she used (I would have kind of liked it, but I can see how it would've been a lot of work) but any time I asked her to show me which product she used for a step, she was happy to show me the product in the store so I could take a picture of it. While I was paying, the receptionist offered me a sparking water to go. I thought this was a really nice touch - after all, hydrating your body hydrates your skin which is key! I left and noticed that my skin was looking really good. I don't normally notice anything after a facial because I already have good skin, but I swear I did see a glow (hopefully not due to the $92 mask she used because then I'm never getting the glow back haha). My last facial was done at a skin studio in Brickell that rhymes with bilver rerror and while that experience was good, Sana makes the other place look like a joke. It's night and day. The experience at Sana is a calming, luxurious experience without the luxury price tag. If it were in my budget, I would 100% sign up for...
Read moreYou have not lived until you’ve experienced a Sana facial. It’s not just a facial, but a whole experience. From the moment you walk in you enter a warm, welcoming environment where you are offered some refreshing lemon water. Then you’re just in awe of the beautiful architecture inside the studio and the incredible selection of products Sana has to offer. Did I mention the products are non-toxic?? They screen all the products they sell to make sure there are no harmful chemicals or synthetic fragrances! There’s nothing better than being an able to bask in the relaxation of a perfectly curated facial without having to worry that any of the products being used on you are disrupting your hormones. WIN!
The actual facial itself is the best one you’ll ever experience. Not only is it incredibly relaxing but I love how educational they are and the Skin Healer explains every step of the process. The perfectly curated playlist transforms you to a tranquil oasis and it takes every ounce of strength for me to peel myself off that bed once the facial is over lol. Best part are the results. Your skin will be GLOWINGGG.
I’ve received facials from multiple skin healers there and I can confidently say I adore them all. I do want to give a special shoutout though to Mary Luz who has worked her absolute magic on my acne-prone skin. I have attached pics of my skin before and after a couple SuperDetox facials with her. I will say before that I was a bit scared before because I have gotten facials in the past elsewhere that have aggravated my skin and left me with scars from extractions, but this was so not the case here. The best decision I have ever made was trusting and allowing her to take care of my skin. My skin now looks fantastic and these new extractions healed perfectly. I will forever be grateful to the healing hands of Mary Luz for giving me my confidence back ❤️. Of course, all great things take time so drastic changes won’t happen overnight. Consistency is key so keep showing up for yourself with these goal-driven facials, surrender, and trust the process.🙏
After the facial you are offered recommendations of what products would best benefit your skin, but you never feel obligated to purchase the products. Even the process of leaving gratuity for your Skin Healer never feels pushy and you can customize the gratuity amount to whatever you choose. On your way out you are offered a delicious fruity sparkling water. Like I mentioned earlier, good things take time. Which is why I think it’s splendid that Sana offers a membership to receive facials every month and if you can't make it one month you can accumulate credits which you can gift to a friend or family member. So say goodbye to your current facial lady because you’ll never go back once you join the...
Read moreFirst, I want to start by saying that my skin healer is amazing, and every facial I’ve had has been a 10/10 experience. That said, I’m giving 3 stars solely because of a frustrating and disappointing issue with scheduling.
Back in early April, I booked a facial for May 17th as a special gift for my mother—something that was very important to me. Later that same month, I had my own facial, and during that visit, a second appointment for May was automatically scheduled. Fast forward to this week—I received a confirmation text for both appointments the same week of. When I responded to cancel todays appointment and keep Saturday’s (the one meant for my mom), I was told I’d need to pay a 50% cancellation fee.
This was my first time ever canceling, and I only asked because I got two appointment confirmations within days of each other, which clearly suggested a scheduling mix-up. I made it very clear how important Saturday’s appointment was to me, yet it was denied without any flexibility or understanding.
Because of this, I’ve decided to cancel my membership. I don’t think it’s fair or reasonable to penalize a customer—especially for a first-time cancellation that stemmed from what seems like a scheduling oversight. If someone had noticed two appointments in the same month, it would’ve made sense to double-check with me before the week of, rather than waiting until it’s too late and charging a fee for an appointment I never even...
