This review is coming from a server that never leaves bad reviews and is the most understanding customer. The food was pretty good, nothing i would come back for. My 3 friends and I came in for bottomless mimosas and brunch, our coffee and food came out wrong which, once again is totally fine i’m a server and have made mistakes before… totally fine, my issue is when i let the waitress know she almost made me feel like i was in the wrong. Just made it a very awkward encounter when i tried to be very friendly and nice about a mistake she made….Our 90 min was coming to an end on the bottomless mimosas so after not seeing out server for a while we went in to ask for one more bottle, she basically cut me off and said our time was over, which yes i do understand but as a server, however if a timed dining experience is coming to an end im checking in to make sure there’s nothing else i can get for a table before the time is up. We once again went in to ask to pay and we absolutely would have given 20% because people have bad days and make mistakes but an automatic 20% “large party grat” was on our check of four. It just felt like she didn’t want to be serving us and almost didn’t trust as customers when we genuinely try to be as nice and respectful to all service workers as we are all in the...
Read moreI have been a regular customer and resident of Coconut Grove for years, and I’ve never experienced anything like my most recent visit to Craft. The service was truly unacceptable. Our party repeatedly asked for small, simple things like water, lemons, and napkins, yet the runner in the black shirt ignored or could not fulfill the requests. When I finally spoke with the manager, she explained that the runner did not speak English, which is why our requests went unanswered. What made the situation worse is that instead of seeking assistance, the runner simply left us without addressing our needs.
Because we were a large party, the tip was already included in the bill, so there was no way for us to reflect our dissatisfaction through the gratuity. When I brought my concerns to the manager, she offered to deduct from the bill we had already paid. I declined, because for me this was not about money, it was about principle. It is unacceptable for a restaurant of this caliber to employ staff who are directly interacting with customers but are unable to communicate with them.
Craft has been a place I’ve enjoyed in the past, but this experience left me extremely disappointed. Good service should be a basic standard, and what we experienced fell far short, into a...
Read moreI wish I can give this place 0 stars. I had an incredibly disappointing experience here. My boyfriend and I went for dinner and ordered an appetizer and two entrées. Our server mentioned that my boyfriend’s dish (an old-fashioned beef stew) would take a little longer, which we understood.
However, after bringing out our appetizer, my entrée (truffled gnocchi) arrived about 10 minutes later, and then… nothing. My boyfriend’s meal never came. The server didn’t check in on us, didn’t notice the missing dish, and seemed completely disengaged—too busy chatting with other staff and even mopping the floor, which is unhygienic when you’re handling food.
After nearly 30 minutes of waiting, she finally returned to ask if we wanted dessert or coffee. When we told her we were still waiting for my boyfriend’s meal, she acted surprised and blamed a “confusion,” which was hard to believe—how difficult is it to simply ensure an order gets to the kitchen? No apology, no urgency to fix the mistake, just indifference.
By that point, the experience was completely ruined. A simple meal turned into an exercise in patience, and the poor service made it clear that customer experience is not a priority here. Definitely would...
