I am very pleased to comment about this restaurant. I have gone on more than one occasion to the place located in Coconut Grove, and I have requested the service at an outside table, because it is what I like the most. I must say that I find the food excellent, the combination of flavors, spices, there is a varied offer and everything I have tried has an incredible taste. Yesterday I received the service of a Hindu girl whose name I don't remember (Preety or Pneety), something like that. She is dark, short, and offered us an excellent service and was very friendly, really wonderful. It is very pleasant to have such a quality service, always with a smile on your lips and with such a friendly conversation, even more so if it is from the Hindu culture itself, attentive to our needs all time and even making very interesting comments about Indian food, so that you also learn. We are very grateful to this girl, to be honest. My congratulations to her and to the Sheff of the restaurant.
Our only discomfort is that, outside of it, people (men on motorcycles) always gather, who may be waiting for an order to pick up, I don't know, but the truth is that for those who are at the tables outside, as I always am, for example, it is very unpleasant to stay right in front of the entrance of the restaurant or on the sides. I think they take away a lot of the view of the restaurant, they have nothing to do with the image of it, they talk loudly and their conversations are all heard, sometimes you even hear unpleasant comments, they obstruct the view of the restaurant and, the truth, talking at the tables outside becomes unpleasant also for this reason, Well, they are right there next to the outside tables, and it would be a shame if you couldn't enjoy it quietly outside, as is my case and that of my partner, who like the outdoors more, or if we had to choose another place just for this factor. I think most of them are Venezuelans.
Otherwise, we highly recommend the service and the...
Read moreUpon entering Bombay Darbar, anticipation stirred within me, even though my companions and I arrived a mere 10 minutes before the kitchen's scheduled closure. The establishment exuded cleanliness and an ambiance that immediately captivated us. The meticulous attention to detail, from the diverse culinary offerings to the harmonious blend of Bollywood melodies, spoke volumes of the establishment's commitment to excellence.
Our dining experience was elevated by the impeccable service provided by Man Singh, our attentive server. Despite our late arrival, Singh ensured our every need was met with utmost care and efficiency. Each dish that graced our table was a testament to the kitchen's dedication to freshness and flavor, served with a promptness that belied the late hour.
Among the delectable offerings, we savored the vibrant flavors of Samosa Chaat, the creamy indulgence of Chicken Tikka Masala, the succulent tenderness of Lamb Chop Masala, the bold spices of Tandoori Chicken, all perfectly accompanied by the aromatic warmth of Garlic Naan.
Remarkably, the attentiveness extended beyond our server, as the General Manager personally checked in to ensure our satisfaction and that our culinary journey remained uninterrupted. Bombay Darbar exudes the quintessence of authentic Indian hospitality, offering not only delectable cuisine but also generous portions designed for communal enjoyment.
For those seeking an authentic Indian dining experience in Miami, Bombay Darbar stands as a beacon of culinary excellence. With its inviting ambiance, hospitable service, and reasonable pricing averaging around $35 per person, it's a destination not to be missed. Heartfelt appreciation goes to the entire Bombay Darbar team, particularly Man Singh, for their warmth and dedication. I wholeheartedly urge anyone in the vicinity to indulge in the delights this establishment...
Read moreI had been wanting to go to this place since I first moved to Miami after hearing rave reviews from many friends. THEN, someone brought me LEFTOVERS of their lamb chop masala, and I thought "if it's THAT good 2-3 days later, how good must it be fresh?!" Andddddd the verdict is that I was indeed impressed and think it lived up to the hype I'd built up in my head. We had paneer naan (unique from others I've had, but in a good way), vegetable samosa (the lone mediocre item), tandoori wings (SUPER interesting, but maybe not be for everyone, almost like Jamaican jerk chicken), the legendary lamb chop masala (a MUST), and, the surprise hit of the day, a fiery Goan fish curry. In all my years of eating Indian food, I've always shied away from seafood, not sure why since I love seafood, so there could not have been a better introduction for me than this place's fish curry. It was very nearly as good as the lamb chop masala, and the spice profile was distinct, which makes sense since Punjab (where many of the famous dishes known to Americans are from) and Goa are culturally and geographically distinct. So I like that you can essentially have a culinary "tour of India" here. The other surprise hit was the homemade pistacchio icecream. The initial taste is the namesake nut, but it finishes with a strong cardamon aftertaste. While we loved the latter, I could see it being too weird for many Americans seeking typical icecream, so as long as you approach it with an open mind and not expecting Baskin and Robbins, I think you'll like it! I regret not ordering the tandoori chicken tikka, served fajitas-style. That looks like the other "must-have," especially for groups, and the pictures others have posted of it in earlier reviews are making me salivate and already planning my...
