In the month of December 2023, I purchased the “Navy Perennial Tailored Fit Havana Suit All Season Stretch Wool by Reda, Italy”. I then wore the suit once a week for two weeks where I began to start noticing issues with the pants where there seemed to be a pulling of the fabric. This was odd not only because the pants were fairly new, but they were not of a tight fitting. On December 26, 2023, I sent a text message to sales associate informing them of the issue.
Due to travel I had not been able to spend a day to take the suit to point out the issue. In February I notified a different sales associate about the issue who at the time dismissed what I was saying and even uttered the words “if you are to grow your collection of suits something like that would not happen.” Although there are many reasonable assumptions that can be made by that statement, it was ignored as the ignorance of the statement did not at the time call for a response. Since that time, I asked if I could mail the pants instead of bringing it to the store as it was just not a practical travel. In the month of July I had the chance to finally bring in the pants to the store after being urged to do so. To my shock the sales associate initially did not seem to want to help me at all. In fact, Rebekka was in many ways very dismissive. She told me, “this is due to wear and tear from either the pants being too tight and it simply being worn out.” Mind you not only these pants are a looser fit than suit I have had for years, but these pants are also marketed as a stretch fabric. At this point I was shocked by her statement because I brought this issue to her attention in February. She proceeded to say, “if you want, we can see if we can custom make you a pair of the pants”. Rather than investigate the defect of the pants she went directly to a sales pitch. She then called over her manager seeming to get away from the issue and I overheard her say, I told him that condition of the pants was due to wear and tear. The manager or supervisor on duty came to her aid and was and made the situation and experience even worse. He kept repeating “hmmmm, since December.” The real shocker was while I was trying to explain to him the issue and the notices provided, he stated, “it’s been since December, and we cannot just give you something for free.” I am still in shock by those words because that assumption was unwarranted as I did not make any demands nor did ask for anything but do what they told me to do which was to bring the pants in. To put the icing on the cake the manager stated, “here is what I can do, I can give you 30% off if you are to purchase a custom suit.” I was honestly at a loss for words. This offer was not only an inadequate remedy to my loss, but it was also almost in a seemingly hidden tactic to maintain if not increase profits from the initial sale. Oh, by the way, Rebekka stated, that the item was not available when in fact the same exact suit is ready and available on the Suit Supply website. (see attachment) What could have been a simple resolution was instead a seed of utter distaste. I hope no one experience this. I truly mean it. I’ve contemplated writing this even telling myself, it’s just a pair of pants. But its more than that. More than anything it’s about being a decent human being. Suit Supply...
Read moreI don't take this lightly as it could affect the company and other staff members but I feel like my experience with Suitsupply needs to be publicized. I recently relocated to Miami from another major southern city and while I have noticed the stark difference in customer service in South Florida my experience at this particular Suitsupply with a particular staff member (Amber) has been a disaster. On my third outing to the store I went in for the explicit purpose of purchasing a few new work shirts for clinic, the store didn't seem particularly busy on this day but it was a full 15-20 minutes before we were greeted and asked if we could be helped. The gentlemen provided me with some information about sizing and alterations before returning to focus on the client he was initially dealing with. I picked out a few dress shirts and was waiting on someone to help me with a fitting room, when this did not happen I attempted to ask Amber (sp?) for some assistance. The way Amber dismissed me and spoke to me was completely unprofessional and unwarranted so much so in fact that I just decided I wouldn't deal with the staff anymore and purchased the shirts without trying them on. Fast forward to three weeks later, one of the shirts was too small and the other started ripping in the shoulder during the first wear. After that horrible experience at the Brickell city center location I decided never to go back there so I drove further out to the Miami Beach location and to my surprise when I walked in AMBER is the first staff member NOT TO GREET me. After walking around the store for a bit I decided I would give her another chance and told her I had a return. She informed me the manger would need to assist me. The manager was very professional and asked my issues with the shirts and I was in the middle of explaining it him when NONE oTHER THAN AMBER interjects and says the reason why the shirt was coming apart at the seam was because I had "worn" it. I was incredulous at this point, I asked her if she worked at the Brickell city center location and she half denied it. She realized that i remembered her and that every time I had been in there she had been RUDE and dismissive so she starts to back pedal. I reminded Amber that I asked for her help with a fitting room on the very day that I bought these and that she blew me off at this point she was no longer interested in discussing my issues and the manager dismissed her. I was also told by another staff member at that location that this seems to be a theme with this young lady. I'm not sure what this employee's issue is but her attitude and manner are conducive for a position where customer service is a necessity. I like the company so i tried going to another location only for her to be there and ruin...
Read moreThis review is for a custom order from mid-April. At recommendation of co-workers I decided to give Suit Supply a shot. When I came in Erick was assigned to me, he took good care of me and provided professional service. I’ve always wanted a nice custom jacket for my weird body type.
He measured me up, he mentioned he would get me looking sharp, we picked the material. He asked me to customize certain details included buttons and lapel type. I ordered just a jacket as I had a wedding to attend and a work conference.
The suit came into the store just in time, 2 days before I began my travels. When I came in the first time to pick up the suit Erick wasn’t available and I tried on the jacket, and it seemed really big and baggy. Not the fit or the feel I was looking for or had envisioned. Already disappointed I mentioned I would leave the jacket and pick it up the following day while Erick was in so I may voice my concerns.
When I came back to try it on I mentioned my concerns and Erick said all the measurements are correct and is large in the front so I may button the jacket. He then mentioned it would need a tailoring to fit better but being right before I need to travel I panicked and asked to take the jacket, even though I did not end up wearing it at all.
I didn’t feel confident in it, it felt big and I felt funny wearing it. I’m a big guy but even with that everyone working at suit supply were wearing nicely cut and modern fitting outfits, mine came out so different than what I was expecting. I ended up wearing a generic jacket I bought at Macy’s to wear for my upcomming my events.
After coming back and dropping the jacket off for its final tailoring, the tailoring had a couple delays asking for more time, so I figured to see if there was a return policy as I was unsatisfied. But my concerns went ignored and then I immediately receive an email to pick up the tailored jacket.
Even with the tailoring I was not happy with the fit. I mentioned it to Erick but he and the manager Evelyn said there was nothing they could do, even being under 30 days and even with my dissatisfaction, they wouldn’t accept a return or even give me a slight discount from a $900 jacket I don’t even like/want.
I won’t be coming here again and will try my luck with another custom suit maker out there, as there are many choices, I will also not be recommending them at all to my friends/peers.
Erick was great but actually execution of the product didn’t meet my expectations especially for the prices they charge, and just being so inflexible is really...
