My name is Mark Edward Thompson and I go by the creative name Adrian R Lafont on Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest. I have been going to THE SPOT BARBERSHOP , 1200 Brickell Bay Drive Unit 104, Miami Florida USA 33101 for well over one year now and my stylist is FRANK G. "Exceptional", "Creative", "Innovative" are the very carefully chosen words that I would use to describe the work of FRANK G. Each and every time I get my hair cut and styled by FRANK G the service is CONSISTENT AND EXCEPTIONAL each and every time, To me this is a sign of a professional who loves what they do and not only this they take great pride and respect in what they do. I am an older man in my early 60's even though I look extremely young for my age mid to late 40's is what many say and my hair is about 97% grey/white. Grey hair is not easy to work with and or style for it tends to be wire like and very coarse and difficult. In spite of this FRANK G makes my hair look spectacular to the point everywhere I go people say "nice hair man who does your hair". Of course I say "THE SPOT Brickell Bay! FRANK G takes his time and he really pays attention to the details of the cut and style making sure each and every strand and section of hair is perfectly layered and balanced so it looks like a perfect tapestry of interwoven parts that blend and meld together to look beautiful .....I leave feeling restored and renewed and like a "new life has become me". The Barbershop environment is very warm and welcoming and also very creative and innovative with its decor and deliberate design and placement of the furniture and tools of the trade. AND let me not forget they offer you a drink and or coffee when you enter which I think is a totally cool idea that just adds to the ambience. Moderately/Fair value and pricing for the exceptional services you get at the SPOT BARBERSHOP. I would also like to add that their WEBSITE is beautiful and very easy to use and highly functional and effective. I love the way the appointment is confirmed over both text and email and all the details of the appointment are also included in the texts and email. Additionally the receipts are the same detailing. Honored to write this review for FRANK G and THE SPOT BARBERSHOP , Brickell Bay Miami Florida . Mark Edward Thompson /Adrian R Lafont - Facebook,...
Read moreI unfortunately forgot the name of the man who cut my hair but he was a very very professional and funny gentlemen. All I remember is that he’s from California and he cut my hair on my birthday and gave me the best haircut ever after not getting a haircut for 5 months. The place itself has an amazing energy to it and very friendly staff. This is hands down the best barbershop I’ve ever been to. I loved my haircut and the place so much I’d fly back to Miami just for a haircut. I highly recommend going to this place if you want a barber who will do EXACTLY what you want and explain what they’ll do and lastly just having a good conversation with the staff. 3 weeks after my haircut I’m loving how it was cut thanks to this place! I’ll definitely be back at this place when I get back to Miami again. Hands down best place in Miami I’ve never had a barbershop offer me complimentary drinks as well and really take care of the customer. If I could leave Michelin starts for a barbershop this would have all of it I’d give this 100 5 star reviews. Trust me and try this place out! Thank you guys for the...
Read moreThe atmosphere at the salon is great – stylish, high-quality interior and a really cool vibe overall. The staff were super friendly, welcoming, and professional. You can tell there’s a real passion behind what they do, and the service felt relaxed and attentive.
Unfortunately, there was one major issue: I showed a picture of the haircut I wanted – going from longer hair to a medium-length style. But the result was something completely different. What I got was essentially a short haircut, with no real resemblance to the photo I provided.
As a customer, you expect a reference image to be taken seriously. A drastic difference like that should absolutely be discussed beforehand – especially when the result ends up so far off from the original idea. Going from long to medium is one thing, but cutting it way shorter without a clear conversation isn’t okay.
It’s a shame, because everything else was really spot on – but when it comes to a haircut, the end result has to match...
