ย ย ย Read moreWe were here three months ago on a reconnaissance to assess living here in Brickell. We were so impressed with the customer service, the genuine, friendly, and helpful attitude of the staff that it had an influence on our decision to move here. We ate at the Edge for several meals and now that we are here again we have eaten all our meals at the Edge. The customer service is fabulous, the food is fantastic, and the atmosphere is very relaxing....we normally eat on the terrace. The big Sunday brunch was terrific with a whole roast pig....mmm crispy skin....and a mound of lobster, plus every other kind of breakfast treat. Donโt miss the mango tapioca. The coffee is very good and I had more than one espresso without any adulteration. My wife loves the chia pudding and the fresh fruit. The Saturday buffet menu and the weekday al la carte menu is equally satisfying and delicious. I had huevos rancheros this Monday morning and it was a great way to start the week.
We are staying at the Four Seasons while waiting to move into our condo. After a difficult move, the Four Seasons is the best place to decompress and get right again. The room is ample and well appointed. The bed is wonderfully comfortable as is the bench-like window seat overlooking Biscayne Bay and all the activity. As I said above, the customer service is superior. We have a wonderful bay view and easy access to everything. The in-room meal was spectacular. My wife loved the massage and facial at Equinox on the fourth floor. It really is a universe unto itself.
I would love to mention names, but there are so many wonderful people here taking care of us that it would be a very long list. The staff at the restaurant, lead at times by Dominique or Steven cannot be beat. The staff treats us like royalty while simultaneously treating us like family....good family, the kind you hope will come to Thanksgiving dinner. Our only way to let the staff know how much we appreciate them is to tip at 30% and hope they understand our way of saying thank you.
The hotel staff is just as fabulous and everyone weโve encountered has treated with the same mixture of royalty and family. Accommodation without obsequiousness, like your favorite relative treats you when you join them at their beach house. Thanks to Sam for taking the time to get us just the right room for the duration of our stay; the view in the morning couldnโt be better!
Yes, I know Iโm gushing and it might seem inauthentic, but my wife and I were consultants for two decades and we did a lot of traveling and stayed in hundreds of hotels during that time. The Four Seasons and the Edge restaurant is undoubtedly one of our best experiences and, although we will live only blocks away, this will be where we come for staycation and we will treat our visitors to at least one night here as a treat (and a relief from my intensity.)
As you can tell...this is our...

Solid luxury hotel at the tail end of Brickell. Good building. Nice pool. Let's look at each component.
Rooms are good. Very well appointed. 3-room bathroom, with a shower stall, separate toilet stall, and a large bathroom. Waste of a space massive hot tub. They need to ask guests who in 2021 uses bathtubs.
Rooms have a lot of closet / drawer space, which is good. Nice windows, with great looks of city or the bay.
Housekeeping was iffy. The one day, had to call 3 times to get housekeeping. They tell you that you will get house-keeping twice, if you ask for it (really, a turn down service which in these days means replenish the towels if needed).
Used the text message system to ask for several things: ice, more filtered water, and extra pillows. Also, the sink was not draining, and called maintenance (on the phone). In each case, the calls were answered, and items delivered within minutes, so this is very commendable.
Next, the common amenities. Pool is awesome. There is hardly anyone there. Cabanas are free. Which is simply A-W-E-S-O-M-E! Pool service was good. Although, the one day, pool food (BAHIA) was not so good judged by digestive outcomes.
Used their on-site restaurant (EDGE) a few times. For the most part, service was OK. But when they got busy, quality went down. E.g., food did not come to specification. E.g., order beef well-done, and comes below medium. Order vanilla dessert, and get chocolate. Stuff like that. I guess companies still having labor issues after the pandemic. We would be in year 2122, and companies will still be blaming the pandemic for labor issues. Thank god for the flue of 1918. We have a centuries worth of blame to spread (until Covid 2019 showed up).
The location of the hotel is OK. Really far end of the Brickell, far from all the happening. Now, if you LIVE there (like in Four Season apartments), this is good. But if you are visiting, this may not be so good, as you might want to be in them middle of things, say, closer to 8th or 10th street, vs 14th street. And those are NOT NY city blocks, bur quite a bit farther. That, and crossing a street in Miami is like crossing a high-way: they have 4 lanes, and cars somehow don't follow street lights. Multiple cars drove when lights showed pedestrian had right of way. You would think that they are in Compton and they would be shot at if not drive through the red light.
Anyway, as far as Four Seasons is concerned, I would say a SOLID luxury hotel that you should DEFINITELY consider staying. A few things could be improved, but otherwise,...
