Maybe it’s in the gluten-free carrot waffles, beautifully dressed with blueberries, strawberries, bananas, almond butter, crunchy coconut flakes, and a touch of maple syrup that adds the perfect honey-like finish. Or perhaps the magic lies in the scrambled eggs, customizable with feta, mushrooms, or bacon, served alongside freshly toasted bread. It might even be in their golden, crispy croissant stuffed with scrambled eggs, melted mozzarella, and turkey bacon, served with a side of aioli for dipping. What happened to Carrot Express? They used to have the friendliest people and the absolute very best service. I haven't been in a while and I decided to get a wrap. No one was in the store but me and five employees. Three of them were talking and two were doing something on their cell phones. They looked my way but didn't come to the counter right away. Finally someone came over and took my order...not a happy person. Although I was the only one in the restaurant it took over 15 minutes to get my wrap. There were no other orders prepared for take out. Two employees were glued to their cellphones. When I picked up my food she simply dropped the bag and turned away. No thank you no smile no nothing. Just an attitude of I wish I was somewhere else. By the way my order was sitting there for about a minute and no one brought it to me. I had to ask if it was mine, which it was. I don't see how they can stay in business having five employees and no one in the store but me and absolutely zero customer service. $32 for one wrap, a bag of plantains, water, and no service.
