Black Cherry Mediterranean Market — Attraction in Millcreek

I've been going to this market for years and I loved it. I bought a jar of olives the other day for $20 and brought it home. When I opened the jar, it smelled bad and the olives tasted of mold. I returned to the store immediately and tried to return the item but the owner said that there was absolutely nothing wrong with this product. I said that's ok I don't need my money back, just take the jar home as a gift from me. I left and will never return. I find it appaling that the owners of these middle eastern shops are so stupid as to let a client who comes to their shop at least twice a week, spends no less that $30 everytime go so easy. I am now buying my olives from Rancho who has a better and wider selection for reasonable prices and if something is bad and has to be returned, they would not...

I went in to get a couple jars of grape leaves. As me and my daughter walked in, there was nobody in sight. We grabbed what we needed, and then waited for 10 minutes before an employee came out. When he did, he walked up, made eye contact with us, and then walked around and into the back of the store without saying a word. So I put the items back and left. If this is how this business treats potential customers, then they obviously don’t want my money. I went to a different Mediterranean market a couple miles away, where I was treated well and got exactly what I needed. In and out within 2 minutes. Don’t waste your time...

There is a large selection of dried goods, grocery items, and frozen foods. They also offer freshly baked flatbreads and lavash, a small but good quality selection of produce, and halal meats. I was very happy with the preserved fruits and syrups on offer. I was able to purchase specialty items such as green walnut preserves and date syrup. There were also many types of sour cherry preserves and syrups to choose from. Along with the fresh breads, there were many boxes of Mediterranean and middle eastern pastries.
