There were people trying to enter and they were rejected. Understand the organizers need lead time to order food, tables , chairs, decorations for tables and 8 people per table. Catering was provided by Mader's. Usual backyard fair. Burgers, brats, cookies, cheeses, onions, tomatoes, pickles, ect. Cash bar, 4 drink tickets included for 2 people. They are used for alcohol or non alcohol drinks plus free water. Service in the buffet line was great. Servers opening your buns up, asking you if you need anything. Live band playing hits from the 70 ,80 , 90's. Best part was the friendship made with other military members. Go next year and I promise you as a NCOIC , you'll have a great time,. I am a friend of the family doing the DJing as part of my gift to the family. The set up was fine, but as soon as “my family” started coming into the room, a woman in charge came up to me with an assistant at her side to tell me without any tact or manors that I was a vendor and needed to wear a mask. When I tried to explain that I had health problems when it came to air constraint, and that I was with the family (masks optional) she ignored me. I understand masks are important, but when I’m at a family gathering and made to feel like the hired help from the people in charge of the hall, I can’t except the ignorance.
