Horrific Experience – Removed from Hotel for Reporting Noise
I am deeply upset with my recent business travel stay at this hotel. If I could give ZERO STARS, I would. From the beginning, I had issues despite requesting a quiet room in advance. Instead, we were placed in a room facing the interstate, and the noise was unbearable. The next morning, we were thankfully moved to a different room, but that night, we were repeatedly woken up by loud partiers outside of the hotel lobby( on Hotel property) . At 4 am My husband had to speak to the front desk, but the staff was unwilling to address the situation, so he had to go outside and ask the people to quiet down himself. The situation worsened the following day. After returning from our business meetings (this was a business trip), we were greeted by a loud party in the room next door. I called the front desk, asked for the manager and was told no manager was on duty on the weekends . The person I spoke to suggested they would give the guests a warning, though it’s unclear whether they actually did. The noise continued, so I knocked on their door very politely, even wishing them a happy birthday, and asked them to be considerate. They said they were leaving soon, and things did quiet down – but then we received an outrageous phone call from the front desk, warning us not to knock on the neighbor's door again, or we would be removed from the hotel! To my complete shock, about 15 minutes later, the Milwaukee Police Department knocked on our door, informing us that we were being removed from the hotel. The officer told us that management had ordered our removal from the property. Keep in mind, from the time I asked my neighbor to be considerate of the noise to the time the police knocked on my door was less than 30 minutes.
I was in tears, in complete disbelief, and in utter shock at how we were treated. As an Honors member of the Hilton brand, I never expected to be treated like this, especially when we had done nothing wrong but ask our neighbors to be considerate. To make matters worse, the front desk clerk who facilitated our removal falsely claimed to be a manager and refused to provide her name. She even lied and said we were warned twice. We were escorted off the property by the police and left to find alternative accommodations late at night.
Adding insult to injury, despite my repeated attempts to contact Hilton Corporate (I actually have a case number) and the general manager of the hotel via phone and email, I have received no response. This lack of accountability and decency is absolutely appalling, and I remain in shock over how we were treated. I am extremely disappointed and feel utterly disrespected by this entire experience. This is not the service I expect from Hilton, especially as a loyal customer and Honors member.
I’ve read every response to all the less than stellar reviews and it’s just an AI generated Blah Blah with no real solutions to anyone’s problem which is exactly what I’m experiencing. So I don’t expect any resolution from my review but beware. This hotel doesn’t care about their guests, and apparently neither...
Read moreHow satisfied were you with your Overall Experience? - This was the worst experience I have ever had at a Hilton property in my life and I have been going to Hiltons for over 30 years. We booked a wedding block months in advance. When we got to the hotel, the rooms were not available and they were short staffed so rooms were not available the first night. Many of our wedding guests, including our elderly relatives, waited for hours in the lobby while trying to check in. Other hotel guests had a similar experience. This was largely due to the mismanagement of the hotel management and in particular the General Manager who was nowhere to be found despite the severe staffing shortage at the hotel. The hotel was understaffed in terms of both Front Desk staff and cleaning staff. I personally reached out to the Sales Manager as well and received no response. Several people had to switch hotels because rooms were not available. We were able to get rooms because of the personal dedication of the staff working at the hotel, in particular I want to call out LaPorche Kimber and Kashmere (I did not get her last name) who worked closely with us to coordinate rooms for our entire party. On Day 2, we were able to get in touch with the Regional Manager who personally drove to the hotel from out of state and personally got involved cleaning rooms and helping to support the staff. It should not have come to this.
We reached out to hotel management since our stay to follow up and to address several issues and have not received a follow up response to our requests.
We reached out to Hilton and opened a Case number and have received no response to that either. I am a long time Hilton Honors Member and really have received little attention from Hilton Management to follow up with us.
How satisfied were you with the Quality of Service? 5 - We were very happy with the staff onsite who were working under terrible conditions and were short staffed. LaPorche Kimber and Kashmere deserve shoutouts for helping to get our guests situated and rooms cleaned to support our wedding party. The GM and the Sales Manager who we worked with to book the room block were nowhere to be found.
The Regional Manager Tina was extremely helpful when she got involved and showed up at the hotel.
Did you feel welcomed at the hotel - The line was out the door when we arrived and no rooms were available and several of our party had to find accommodation elsewhere. We had to reach out to the GM who was not helpful at all and nowhere to be found. I reached out to the Sales Manager Kevin who never returned my call. We had to go to the regional manager level to get action. To her credit, she got personally involved, came to the hotel, jumped right in and worked along side the staff long hours to get rooms cleaned and guests taken care of. Again - The staff onsite, particularly LaPorche Kimber and Kashmere, were professional and did everything in their power to make sure our party was taken care of. Both worked long hours and took personal responsibility to address the shortcomings...
