Location is great. Parking is HORRIBLE. There is one block that is shared with another hotel that you can park one night without any problems. However, any additional nights you need to pay $23/ night ($25 for in/out privileges). The parking ramp doors are locked all day sat and sun so you need to walk thru the car entrance on the other side of the building. The rooms are fine. Clean. Beds/pillows are comfortable. There is a sign that says if you forget essentials they have them at the front desk. We called for toothpaste. They stated "the shipment didnt come in" so instead we could buy some from the small store they had next to the front desk for $5 (was a small toothpaste and travel toothbrush that can be purchased for $1 at Target). Also housekeeping is upon request. We did not request it but came back to only our bathroom cleaned. The toilet seat was left up and it smelt like sewer. We contacted the front desk asking if there was an issue while we were gone. The front desk could not figure it out and ended up sending someone who spoke no english to our room to clean?! We just wanted to know if something went wrong. There is one lady at the front desk with blue braids (didnt catch her name) who was absolutely wonderful. She was so kind and helped us find things to do while we had extra time.

Absolutely awful. Picture is from our room with the curtains drawn… hope you like really bright street lights. I feel like this is a joke, but nope. Also, I didn’t know there were still hotels that had no way to stream Netflix, Hulu, etc. But just good old fashioned tv here. Not a huge deal, but the tv says you can and it’s a lie so that’s annoying. Between that and the spotlights shining into my window, I would have splurged the extra $20-50 to get a wayyyyy better room elsewhere had I known.

The hotel is in downtown, so not a great choice for family vacation. They view is only parking garage! They don’t have parking! You have to park by yourself in a nearby paid parking place from which you have to walk back to hotel which is very inconvenient during winter. They were very reluctant about the free breakfast. The shelves were out for many items, such as they had cereal but not milk; had pancake batter, not maple syrup !

Very shady establishment! I will be contacting the mayor of Milwaukee as he needs to understand how myself being an esteemed black business professional was mistreated in his city. My family is well known throughout Wisconsin and Illinois! This is the worst Holiday Inn in Milwaukee and everyone needs to be aware of how horrible I was treated. Daniella and Jaylin you will be hearing from my attorney! I booked a reservation and was told it was cancelled and there was a note from the GM Jaylin that I was banned from the hotel. I stayed there about 3 weeks ago and had no problems other than the room temperature was cold. Daniella was notified and she tried asking me to change rooms after stating further the rooms are all set to not rise above 75 degrees not to mention it was very late to be changing rooms with no guarantee the room would be warmer. It was communicated to Daniella that the entire floor was freezing even the elevators, not only did she have an attitude she acted like she didn’t care about my concerns. She further stated she would compensate the room by half and told me to have Orbitz contact her. I asked her if she would be noting my account she said she would remember when they called. The next day we ended up extending our stay and was harassed by Carlos several times calling all through the night for a DEPOSIT! When my card was on file. I had to get up at nearly 4am to pay a deposit! He tried to banter with me as if he was my parent that he called my room several times. I told him the amount of times he called was harassment. I was told by him my room was being 100% covered. The next morning upon checkout I am then told I have to pay for the room! I paid and had orbitz call to get my discount. I was told by Orbitz only $30 would be credited. I called the hotel and spoke to Jaylin who said he was crediting half the room and then tried to bring up Daniella offered to switch my room I reiterated the time of night, the temperature not being able to be controlled by the guest. HE never mentioned anything about me being banned nor was I told about not being welcome. I traveled from out of state to come here to find my reservation canceled with NO information! Carlos called Jaylin who acted oblivious and said he would be there in the morning and I could come talk to him. Absolutely not! First off, as a BLACK woman I was not only discriminated against but I was humiliated and treated like some unhinged individual. I was never disrespectful to anyone. I am a woman of good integrity and is well renowned in my profession, community and a change agent around the world. I have never been mistreated like this and my voice will not go unheard. The only person who treated my guest and I with respect was Paul. Paul thank you for your kindness. Jaylin, Daniella and Carlos: Not only what you did was WRONG you have now forced my hand. I was inconvenienced, deceived and had to rearrange my entire night to find a place to stay. Not only will I be making a formal complaint with the headquarters, I have family all throughout the Holiday Inn chain who will help me get this resolved. As a business woman, I would never treat anyone like this. I am requesting Holiday Inn: Refund me for the hotel charges incurred during my prior stay. A formal written apology and explanation of what led to this decision. Compensation for my travel, valet services and for the HORRIFIC treatment I received. This was definitely racially motivated. I will be contacting my attorneys, and the local new stations in Milwaukee, Kenosha and Illinois. This needs to be brought to light as my reputation will not be shattered by deceit. I will also be contacting the health department as the temperature of those rooms were unbearable. I expect Holiday Inn to take immediate action and resolve this in an amicable manner. I will not let this go until...

We had two rooms reserved and attempted to check in at 5:15pm, the check in time is after 3pm. After sitting and waiting to check in for at least 15 minutes (one person in front of us attempted to check into their room and walked into a room occupied by someone else and another had a room that wasnt cleaned yet) we were told rudely "I doubt your room is clean, but I will check." We were then told the rooms weren't ready yet. We had dinner reservations and after that reservations for a pedal tavern, and did not want to need to take our things back to the parking ramp and have to recheck in late at night, so we asked what our options were and told rudely "it isnt our fault, we had so many staff members who up and quit." We asked if they knew when the room would be clean, the receptionist laughed and said "I have no idea. I am not even going to guess and lie to you." We then asked if we can at least put our things in the dirty room, so we could make our reservations on time. We put our things in the two dirty rooms and returned later that night. Upon returning, one room was missing a top sheet, and both were missing hand soap. We went and asked for both and were told that the entire hotel was out of hand soap.

Throughout the night the air conditioner did whatever it wanted. We woke up at least 5 times because we were sweaty and uncomfortable and turned the temperature down because it was so incredibly hot in the room. The temperature would turn itself up right after. It was 55 degrees outside that night, so it isnt like the ac couldn't keep up.

In the morning there were absolutely no eggs, despite there being a platter for eggs (This was completely empty and clean, so it isn'tas if there were any in there and they were making more.) This was at 730am, so definitely not because the breakfast time was ending....all in all, it was quite disappointing. We never got even so much as an appology for the inconvenience. Had the receptionist been more polite about it, or given us an option of what to do with our bags until we could check in, we would have been much more...

I booked 2 nights and upon check in they said all the rooms were booked. They walked me over to the hotel next door and told me I’d have to come back this hotel for the second night. For the inconvenience they said the second night would be free.

However they still charged me for the first night even though I never stayed at this hotel for the first night. In person they assured me that I wouldn’t be charged but a week later I see the charge is still on my card. I call them and the staff say they will give me a refund but also told me their system is down so they will put in the refund request when the system is back online.

Over a month later I see the charge is still on my card. I call them again and the staff claims that they don’t see anything in their system about my booking. The staff assures me that they will have a supervisor call me back to sort it out. I never received that call back from the supervisor. I had to do a credit chargeback to receive a refund for a service I never received.

The whole process was incredibly inconvenient and I’d expect much better service from a well established hotel chain. I should be able to reserve a room and have that room be available upon arrival. I shouldn’t have been charged for a room that I never stayed in especially after the staff assured me that I wouldn’t be charged. I shouldn’t have to move back and forth between hotels especially for a 2 night stay in which I had already made a prior reservation. And finally, the staff should be able to process refunds without me constantly needing to follow up.

With so many other hotels in the area, I’d highly recommend booking a...
