180 Degrees at Great River Landing in 2023 promised change after Better Futures failed. I have been at Great River Landing since 2019. When 180 Degrees took over the programming in 2023 I had high expectations for a better living environment here at Great River Landing. Those expectations quickly faded as residents were allowed to violate terms of the lease agreement. Violation that affected the warranty of habitability. Loud music, Drug use, Smoking cigarettes/ marijuana in rooms, Alcohol use...and other disruptive behaviors. When I brought my concerns to the staff of 180 Degrees..my concerns were ignored. Drug use was rampant and resulted in multiple overdoses and death. I brought my concerns to 180 Degrees about an individual that I knew was struggling with drugs and I wanted 180 Degrees to get him help...he ended up dying of an overdose. Loud music was always a problem that affected the quality of life for myself and other people at Great River Landing. Smoke from cigarettes/marijuana lingered in common areas and my room. Management couldn't be bothered with doing walk-throughs to maintain healthy and safe living conditions...and complaints went unanswered or resolved. Police and Fire Department are here frequently to address behavior issues and multiple fires in the building. My tenant rights have been violated, my Right to Privacy has been violated. After two and a half years of me making complaints and trying to get staff to make changes I have been met with my needs being ignored and staff lying to me. I have been discriminated against when asking for the support services that I was promised. After multiple complaints of smoking in the building, which affects my physical health and mental health. I made a complaint to HUD and am waiting for my complaint to be investigated...I filed the complaint with HUD on May 19th 2023. On July 11th 2023, my Right to Privacy was violated. I was in my room when Layee entered my room without knocking. There was no need to enter my room... there was no fire, no water leaks no maintenance issues. This was harassment and Intimidation tactics...there might have been a problem elsewhere on the 5th floor but that doesn't give him the right to enter my room without at least knocking on my door. This violation caused me to spiral into a mental health crisis, I barricaded my door because I feared the possibility of someone else entering my room. I have been very disappointed, and things have gotten worse when 180 Degrees took over programming here at Great River Landing. Property Solutions Services are also negligent in providing me requests for ledger documentation for money that was supposed to be allocated to a savings account to help me transition out of Great River Landing. I asked my case manager Cedric for help to get my requests, only for him to not communicate with me...this was last Friday 8/15. I have made arrangements to vacate Great River Landing and still continue to be lied to and not getting my needs met to make a smooth transition. All I need is the money from the savings allocation and my...
Read moreThis is one of the best reentry program I have ever been to. The program helped me with everything I needed when I got out of prison, they helped me get my social security card, state ID, and other important documents during Covid 19, when everything were shut down. They also helped me secure employment and housing through them before I completed the program. The staff were helpful and the new leadership under Tony and Laye is running the...
