0/10 If I could. We get here & have a hard time with parking. We park in the temp spot & try to check in. You need a card to get inside. Luckily someone was walking out when we were checking a 3rd door. Front desk staff was VERY unprofessional. Asked my name, then asked for a booking #. I give him my phone so he can see my receipt himself. Finally finds it. I ask if he needs my ID or card. He shrugs & takes both, then just says he charged $150 to my card. There was zero warning or explanation of an incidental deposit. I ask about parking, he says “Street parking is free. Sorry if I seem off, just wanna get out of here, ya know?” He hands me the room key then moves on to the next person. Well, street parking is NOT free. He blatantly lied just to get rid of me. Had to find a parking garage & pay by the hour. Come back inside with our bag & realize he never told us ANYTHING. I ask front desk staff how to find our room & she rudely says “The elevator is right there” like I was bothering her. We set our stuff in our room & notice an odor but we’re in a hurry so we accept it, change quick, & head to Target Field. Get back close to 12 AM. The floor of our room is now SOAKED (guessing leaking AC by location) & the smell is amplified X10. Smells like death. I go to tell front desk. After making me wait absurdly long- tries telling me all other rooms are sold out. She was very dismissive like I was making a big deal of nothing. I show her a video of the standing water with my husband walking through it so she’ll take me seriously. (Not to mention the smell of literal death) The rooms just not stay-able. She then tries forcing me into a queen with attitude. I refused, I paid for a king for a reason. She was being very rude & dismissive as if I wanted to be down in the PACKED NOISEY lobby at midnight. DUH. Another gal came & magically had a king available for me to move to. Had to move all our stuff close to 1AM rather than getting any sleep. Just awful. So much for giving the hubby a relaxing night away from the kids for his birthday. This was the most stressful stay we’ve ever had. Also the most unprofessional staff we’ve ever encountered anywhere on earth.

Came in to town for the Vikings game with friends. Great location for walking or scootering to events, the stadium, the parks, and all the great restaurants in the area. Fun, modern decor. Bar on location. Research tax before booking $$$$. The beds were not comfortable. On site parking was not available. The rooms stayed hot no matter what the AC was set at. Elevators were SLOW and VERY HOT. Light switches a little confusing. Mixed interactions with staff. Some friendly, some not as much. We were told by the front desk that you could smoke out back on the patio. We obeyed signs and made sure to be past 25ft away from the doors. However, game day we were asked to move out into the parking lot to smoke- which we politely complied with -However the other couple on the patio that were even closer to the doors were not asked to move. Observed: They were wearing the home team - we were not.

Really enjoyed our weekend stay in Minneapolis for the Monster Energy Supercross. The Aloft was a great place to stay for us. Pet friendly with a nice park a block away to stretch our legs in the morning. Cool hotel, staff were very nice and professional. Pros: You get a great place to stay for the $$ Pets stay FREE. Great staff to help you get checked into your room. Location Location Location close to places to bars, restaurants, US Bank Stadium, Guthrie Theater, and the river walk bridge. Nice pool & hot tub. Nice lobby with lounge, pool table and shuffleboard. Cons: A little noisy, we were right above the bar area and the walls and floors are all concrete and sound travels quickly. Bed mattress could be a little softer and thin indoor outdoor carpet. No free breakfast items. Conclusion: Love this place! We will try and stay at Aloft when we are in Minneapolis again.

There is a lot about my stay that I didn't like. Because I want to be a balanced reviewer I will tell you that if you like a more "modern" looking hotel maybe this could be the hotel for you. The one cool thing I liked about the hotel was the floor in the elevator. It was liquid. That's where my good comments stop.

When I tried the pool, the door wouldn't open. The staff said that the key card opener was broken. I was under the impression when we booked that the pool was open 24 hours, and it wasn't. We were told it was because they were understaffed. When I got in the pool it was VERY salty. I wasn't aware if this was supposed to be a salt water pool, but I wish I was.

I was also kind of disapointed that there was no breakfast. What there was, was basically an overpriced convienece store. I'm sorry, but I am not paying 3 dollars for a pop.

The room was smaller than I expected. The one part about our room that I liked was the shower. It was very modern. The way the layout of the room is, if my partner got up to take a shower, or go use the sink or toliet, I could hear. There was a sliding door, but it was pretty flimsey. The walls of the room are also very thin. I got about 4 hours sleep TOTAL for my stay, and I stayed two nights. This was because other guests were pounding and screaming outside of the hallway. I heard them through my CLOSED room door. It also didn't help that the beds themselves were really uncomfortable. The blanket was very heavy and lumpy. It made for terrible sleeping.

Another cool feature of the hotel was the fact that they had a shuttle service. That would have been awesome, had we not had to wait for it for an HOUR after we called.

With all of these problems I went down to the front desk, and I said, I think we shouldn't have to pay for a night, or we deserve a comp room for another night stay. She said she would talk to her manager and that her manager would call us back by monday. Monday came and went, and it wasn't as if we waited to call. We called them, and all we got was a voice mail. We still have as yet to hear from them.

if you want a good night sleep, or you want a hotel where the staff address your concerns, this is surely not the...

This is a hard review for me to write, as every other Starwood hotel I've stayed in has been more then excellent, and have set the standard of what I expect in a good hotel. This one failed on everything except the staff.

The room: was small, but not too small

It was also loud. Appeared to lack any sound dampening to prevent an almost echoing from conversations in the room. Also appeared to lack any sound dampening to prevent overhearing adjoining rooms or conversations in the hallway. Or the street traffic.

And bright. The windows only have shades, not actual curtains, and said shades did not overlap the window sides sufficiently to block light. As a result, the street lights lit up the room well enough that I didn't need to turn on any lights to find my way around the room at 2am.

The bed was very hard, but that may have been on purpose, I don't know. I do know both my hips were sore after attempting to sleep. Attempting was all I could accomplish due to the lights, constant noise, and near - floor like hardness of the mattress. I was more tired at checkout then I was at 10pm the night before.

The single (yes, only 1) char in my room was also broken. It was a typical "modern" office chair (which means uncomfortable at best of times), who's pneumatic piston for adjusting the height was broken, so it would always sink to the lowest possible position. Not a problem if you are short, or didn't want to use the desk provided. I am 6'1", and had planned ton using the desk. It was impossible.

Overall, it felt "cheap". Motel cheap. Not what at all what I expect from a Starwood site.

I can not truly ranke the Food & Beverage selection, as I didn't take advantage of them, though the group I was with did and seemed satisfied with them.

Bottom line : Great location (2 blocks from US Bank Stadium), but nothing else to recommend. I understand that the hotel is undergoing a renovation, but until the above issues are addressed, I wouldn't stay there again at any price, for any reason, and I would definitely NOT...
