At Home — Attraction in Monroeville

I placed an online order for 4 items. Paid online with my At Home credit card. Received an email that 2 of the 4 items were out of stock and those two items were cancelled from the order. Picked up my order the next day, but was still charged for all 4 items ($65) even though they only gave me 2 items (worth $23). To make matters worse, the one item they gave me was defective (see photos). When I asked if there was another one I could exchange it for, the lady working told me "I have no idea, you'll have to go look and if you find one I'll exchange it." Didn't offer to help me find it or anything. She couldn't even direct me to the correct aisle to look for it. It's ridiculous that they even thought to sell this to someone. After searching the store on my own for 20 minutes, I decided to just return it. The items in this store are cheap and low quality.

I called the number on the back of my credit card to be refunded for the amount they incorrectly charged me, and was told that there is no customer service and they would have to dispute the charge with the credit card company, which can take up to 90 days. What a headache. Once I am refunded, I'll be cutting up my card and will never return...

I highly suggest visiting At Home if you are redecorating a room or the whole house, or maybe moving into a new home. When I first started going here, I thought some of the prices were okay - a mix of low and high. But then, when I started checking the clearance - which is almost in every aisle (per department), I found out incredible deals. I found some great quilts for the guest bedroom for less than $20-$30 at the clearance. I also found our striped drapes that were on sale for about $10 for a 2-panel pack. Incredible! I am extremely disappointed by my recent experience at At Home in Monroeville, PA. My mom and I drove an hour 1/2 there and back to find a rug for my dining room. When we got home and unpackaged the rug, we found yellow stains all over the end of the rug, so much that it had seeped through causing yellow stains on the back side as well.

The store manager, Wendy was asked to assist with our issue. When she showed up, she was very rude and unconcerned with our issue and time spent driving to and from their store- twice. She brushed us off and said there was no way that would be the case and immediately walked away. There was no compensation for the inconvenience. I cannot believe someone like her is in the position she is.
