From the moment I walked into Bridal Atelier in Montclair, I knew it was a special place. Let me back up for a second to provide some context – I live in Chicago but am originally from NJ. I looked for a wedding dress in three states – IL, NJ and NY. The search was stressful and draining. Between all the places I searched, I felt that I was being herded in and out of each shop, overstaying my appointment time, pressured to make decisions and convinced into liking something I wasn’t sure about. Enter Bridal Atelier Montclair. As I entered the boutique, Rachel greeted us with the warmest hello. The boutique was simply stunning. Each dress was more gorgeous than the next and there was a private and chic dressing room in the back, meant for one guest at a time. Rachel took us to the back room where she introduced herself and told us about her experience in the industry. She offered us water and champagne and created an environment of support, calm and attention. She really listened, asked questions and selected dresses she thought would complement my shape based on her experience in the industry. Rachel pulled a few dresses for me to try on based on my feedback. Needless to say, she completely nailed it. Not only was every dress I tried on pristine, but when i found "the one" both my mom and I started to tear up. We had that moment. This boutique is like no other. Rachel is an EXPERT at what she does. She is not only warm and welcoming, but she is so knowledgeable, attentive, helpful and professional. As I stood in my soon-to-be wedding dress, we discussed veils, accessories, possible alterations, any concerns I may have, etc. She provided undivided and unparalleled service. I knew at that moment that there was a reason I hadn’t found my dress yet; the process was leading me to this boutique and to Rachel. I canceled the rest of my dress appts for that weekend and knew without question or hesitation that this was the one for me! What I learned throughout the process is that the bridal dress experience expands way beyond just finding your dress. Bridal Atelier Montclair provided me a bridal experience that I will cherish forever. I counted down the days until I could come in for my dress fittings. Deb, the seamstress for the shop, is a master of her work. She is kind, patient, communicates her steps in alterations and listened to any concerns I may had. Rachel and Deb are a dynamic pair. Between the two of them they have so much expertise and knowledge. They provide you with undivided attention. They have a warmth and vested interest in your dress and wedding experience. They are a pair that is unparalleled in this chaotic wedding world. I feel beyond thankful to have had them during my wedding process. Rachel and Deb helped me picked out all the details for my dress – from the belt, to the veil and jewelry they helped my vision come to life. From the moment I walked into the salon to the moment I picked up my dress, each visit to the boutique left me feeling grateful. I was grateful to have met such wonderful and caring professionals, to have the dress of my dreams and to have gone through the process of making my dream a reality with two individuals who I trusted and admired. I feel so incredibly lucky that I worked with Bridal Atelier Montclair for my wedding. My largest anxiety in wedding planning was finding the right dress. I was convinced it would take me forever and that nothing would be right. Once I walked into Bridal Atelier Montclair all this anxiety was gone and replaced with excitement. Rachel and her team, including Courtney who I cannot rave enough about, gave me such individualized attention so I felt incredibly confident on my wedding day in the perfect dress for me. They heard and supported my style, provided no pressure, demonstrated a clear passion for the wedding dress industry, and showed support and care through the process.

Bridal Atelier Montclair was the first location I went to look for a dress. I was a ball of anxiety but having a one-on-one appointment with incredible Courtney made that anxiety slip away. Courtney was not just trying to sell me a dress; Courtney was a clear artist with a love of wedding dresses and a desire for me to find the perfect dress for ME. She heard what I envisioned and was excited to help me find that vision. I picked out a beautiful Dana Harel dress that fit my unique vision. It did not have a train and I felt that missing detail was important to feel "bridal". Courtney helped sketch out what a potential train could look like with enthusiasm for this challenge. Courtney and Rachel went straight to the designer to create the dream dress I wanted for my wedding. There was no frustration or hesitation from their team; they simply made it happen.

As I started to plan my wedding color scheme and think about my bridesmaids, I reached out to Courtney for any advice hoping not to be a bother to her. Courtney enthusiastically responded and even created a Pinterest board to help my process. As someone who is not artistic and of course new to the wedding process this was incredibly helpful and so kind.

I met Rachel when I went to try on my dress one more time to confirm I did indeed love it. Rachel was patient, kind, understanding, and clearly knew every detail about her field. She reassured me with compassion.

Rachel clearly articulated when my dress should arrive prior to my wedding and created a fitting plan so I had my dates way in advance. With wedding planning in full mode, having a schedule was beyond helpful. Rachel was present at every fitting and provided expert advice and insight. Deb altered my dress to perfection. She was meticulous with every detail. Fittings were also scheduled individually, which made me feel like all my needs were met. Courtney popped by to see how my dress came to life, which was such a testament to her love of the craft.

I received so many compliments on my unique wedding dress from people who were at and not at my wedding. Bridal Atelier Montclair made that happen.

I said yes to my dress at Bridal Atelier Montclair, and it was the best decision I could have made. To start, the boutique is absolutely beautiful. Every detail is thought out, and you can see the love and passion that Rachel has put into her space. Second, Rachel, Kaelyn, and Deb are three absolutely incredible women who have created such a wonderful environment for other women to come and find the dress that was meant for them! I went there having a specific dress in mind, but I knew i needed to try on more than one dress. Rachel and Kaelyn were there with me and were SO kind, and treated me like a friend while trying on the different dresses. They were honest and open, but not pushy in the slightest. And they gave me the perfect amount of opinion on the gowns, while also helping me to see on my own which dress I felt like ME in. Of course, I ended up going with the dress I went there specifically for! The entire experience with them was incredible, especially being a bride in the midst of COVID. They laid out all of the information as to how it would work and when my dress would come in, so I never felt myself wondering what the next step would be! After purchasing my gown, Rachel called me a few days later to update me. She had spoken directly to the designer, Sareh Nouri, and shared with her photos of me in the trial gown. Together, they decided to make my gown in a petite version so that it would fit me perfectly. I was so happily shocked to hear the amount of effort and care that went into this dress being made for me. Rachel truly went above and beyond! Once my dress came in, Rachel called me and of course I had to tell her we had postponed. We ended up postponing our wedding twice, and Rachel made the entire process so easy, even storing my gown in her gorgeous boutique until it was time for my alterations. This is when I got to see Deb’s expertise come out! Deb is the seamstress with Bridal Atelier, and she did an AMAZING job on my gown. At first, she asked me if there was anything I wanted to fit differently before she started making the alterations she knew the dress needed. She was open to my thoughts and worked with me to make this gown fit like a glove! Rachel was always present at my alteration appointments as well, and she remained incredible and helpful and kind throughout. Deb helped not only with the alterations themselves, but also with suggesting the best fit/style for spanx/undergarments under my dress. She also ensured that my maid of honor was at the last fitting so she could teach her how to bustle my dress so it was quick and easy the day of! I truly cannot thank them or say enough great things about Bridal Atelier Montclair, Rachel, Kaelyn, and Deb. I wish they had dresses for other events JUST so I could go back and work with them all again!!!!
