If you ask anyone who knows me where my happy place is, you might hear a few different answers—but there’s one spot that never fails to put a smile on my face: the Monterey Bay Aquarium. It holds a special place in my heart, and no matter how many times I visit, it always feels like magic. The sea otter exhibit, in particular, is my absolute favorite. I could spend hours watching those adorable, playful creatures swim, dive, and float effortlessly in their habitat. Definitely the highlight of the aquarium. The otter program is world famous and is basically singlehandedly responsible for saving the entire species, and the exhibit and employees here do a great job teaching you about the animals and explaining why the aquarium'a work is so important.
