Sea Otter Shirts — Local services in Monterey

Cute shirts but terrible customer service! It belonged to a chain of stores that offered 10% off if you shop with their other stores. Initially shopped at Sharky's where we were told to just show the receipt to avail of the discount. Went in to Sea Otter's and bought $128 worth of merchandise. The 2 girls at the checkout were talking and were oblivious of my husband and I. Hubby finally said something and that's the only time they paid attention to us. I mentioned about our discount and showed the clerk the receipt from Sharky's and said she's going to process it. When transaction was over and we looked over our receipt, the discount wasn't there. She said she forgot to put it in but we can still use the discount in "another store." And the other clerk unapologetically uttered, "It's just tax." Looked like they were used to this kind of interaction and dishonesty.

Husband and I decided to just let it go for the sake of the other customers who were waiting in line.

I believe this is how they operate because when we asked to cancel our purchase the clerk unempathically said she can't. The store doesn't do refunds, only exchanges.

I'm warning my family and friends about this unscrupulous business. This business with this kind of employees doesn't deserve our hard...

The older lady cashier was very rude. Store wide open in front, no one was around. I was about mid way though store and was looking at items. She was standing behind counter and said that she closed. She would only check me out for the two items I was holding. I was not allowed to look at anything else. When I asked why the doors were still open she said that she had the right to keep doors open because she was hot and waiting for...

This shop says everything you need to know in the name lol. They have sea otter shirts. In my opinion, way cuter souvenirs than the aquarium itself. Really love the Harry Otter stuff, it is frankly hilarious...
