This place went down hill quickly. We pre reserved our tickets (2 adult and 2 kids) today and even with the 25% matinee ādiscountā we spent $80 (this includes 2 large drinks and 1 large popcorn). I get it. Todayās economy sucks. Everything is expensive. That wasnāt even my actual complaint. The place was gross and sticky- granted, I get it. Itās a theater. But, the seats had dark head stains/wear, which made it kind of unappealing. The first bathroom had no working soap dispenser and a sign that just said āoh sorry, no soapā. Gross. Go buy a $1 hand soap for your customers and specifically your employees. This was the bathroom closest to the ONE concession stand. As I left, I watched an employee literally wipe her hands on her pants and leave (after using the restroom). There is absolutely no decent flow to the concessions. So they give you this great option to pre reserve your food and drinks but yet still have to wait in line? God forbid you actually go onto the side or the āpremiere lineā to bypass the 40 people in line, youāre asking for a beating from all the glaring eyes thinking youāre cutting in front of them. The āpickupā section had nothing there and waiting for pickup. The bathroom next to the theater had no paper towels. BUT yay, working soap. šš»š 3 drink machines- 1 was entirely not working. The other 2 were out of almost everything (Coke, Pibb, Lemonade)ā¦so then we had to stand BACK in line to let them know the machines were not working and/or depleted. After telling the staff member the problem, I was given a totally dumbstruck look. I asked for a solution. She couldnāt provide me an answer to when the machines would be working again and couldnāt get me a drink. I had to go out half way thru the movie to even fill my drink (after giving them enough time to fix it). Itās no wonder people sneak in their own drinks. š¤¦š»āāļø and when itās $10 a drink. Charged for a service you canāt even provide. We went back during the movie to ask for a refill on the popcorn to find the line for concessions almost out into the lobby. The choice was either stand in the line and miss the next 30 min or just give up. Again, spending this amount of money and adverting free refills⦠š I donāt blame the poor kids working. They were clearly understaffed and overwhelmed. I blame poor management and massive company greed. To be charged $80 for a pathetic āexperienceā is unacceptable. Get your crap together and clean the place, AMC. Stop charging people asinine rates and not come thru with providing even adequate service in return. Thankfully, we have a better theater in Smyrna and will be attending there from now on. The whole experience was uninviting- even down to weirdly hidden entrance. To add- another customer and I were talking while in line for 40 min and he commented this was the worst theater heād ever been. I couldnāt have...

Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy wife and I just went and saw Ant Man and Wasp here (theater 2)
Tried to buy tickets online first and was forced to choose between three different membership packages before I could get my tickets. Ended up just getting them at the theater to avoid making an account. Once we got there, there was no teller but an automated screen to purchase our tickets, where we were once again offered to sign up for one of their three memberships.
Once inside the theater, the trailers began with a long commercial about - their three membership packages. After thirty minutes of trailers, they capped things off with yet ANOTHER commercial for their memberships.
Up until this point the screen was fine, but once the movie finally started it was so dark that I couldnāt discern between the colors. I gave the movie about ten minutes just in case the bulb needed to warm or we were just in dark scenes. But in comparison with the commercials for the film I had seen on YouTube and at home, I couldnāt shake that it was just too dark. I debated for too long if I wanted to miss some of the film to get a manager, thinking Iād probably just get ignored.
But I went out grabbed someone and brought them in to ask if there was anything they could do to brighten it. She immediately asked if this just wasnāt a dark scene (thanks for the gaslighting and the insult on my intelligence) before leaving to check into it. The quality never improved.
I thought that maybe I was just too used to watching my LED TV in the dark and that maybe projection tech is just too old.
My sister came here later the same day and paid extra for the HD screen and didnāt seem to think there was any issue.
This makes it really hard to even want to go to the movie anymore.
Big thanks AMC for your constant shoveling of your products only to be given a...
