Amen Trees — Attraction in Murray

I hired Amen Trees to trim back my neighbor's large cottonwood tree that had a lot of overhang onto our property. It was going to be a bit of a tricky job because of a nearby shed, playhouse, swing set, and fence. The job was done exactly as we requested. It was done quickly and efficiently. I was very happy with the cleanup, as the men hardly left a twig on the ground! Amen Trees had the best price out of the estimates that we had done.

I also hired Amen Trees to grind four stumps in our front yard. This was done the day after they trimmed the tree. They contract with another company for that part. It was called Steve's Stump Grinding. They were also great!

The only tiny complaint I had, was the payment process. After the tree trimming, an employee came to the door and asked me how I would like to pay. I told him with a card. He said I should call the office to do that. I called immediately and gave my card information to the lady in the office. She said total would be $824.00 for the tree. I paid it. A few minutes later I received an invoice via email. The invoice said my total was $800.00. I ended up talking to the same employee on the phone and she told me that they are a small company and they use the "square" to process card payments and they pass the fee onto the customers, thus the $24.00 extra. I told her that was fine. I think this should be disclosed as soon as you say you want to pay with a card.

Today I received the invoice for the stump grinding and I was able to pay the total, with a card online, without a fee. Interesting!

Had a very tall dead pine tree in the front yard. My insurance company requested that it be removed or my rates would go up, I know tree removal is expensive. I had seen Amen Tree vehicles around and about so they were the company I called and man I’m glad I did!!. Nick came out and gave me bid on the tree, while he was here I had him look at another maple tree in the back yard see if he could do that one as well while they were here.

I was quoted a price that was way beyond my expectations and very fair. They set an appointment (they are most generally early from my experience) and from the time they arrived had both trees on the ground, chipped, and cleaned up (which was beyond my expectations) in one hour. My parents needed a huge apple tree removed from their backyard between the house and a garage. They had gotten some crazy estimates so I told my parents “I’m on top of this I will get Amen Tree over here”. Again their estimate was more than reasonable and fair and appointment booked.

They showed up right on time and again in 1 hour and 15 minutes tree down, chipped, and cleanup was done. My parents “Thank You so much for hooking us up with Amen Tree, we couldn’t be happier”. Writing in March of 2020. A week ago there was an earthquake and since then we’ve had several aftershocks. This morning there was a snowstorm and with all the trauma, a large 30 foot tree fell in my backyard. It narrowly missed my house but was taking up the bulk of my yard. I weighed the option of buying a chainsaw and doing it myself, but I would also have to buy protective gear and it wouldn’t help me to get rid of the branches. Under normal circumstances I would have several friends and family to help, but with social distancing in effect I thought I should at least get a bid. After seeing the 5 star reviews I gave Amen a call hoping to set something up for the next day. I sent photos and was quoted a great price, so instead I just made an appointment. Half an hour later I heard from them asking if they could just do it today. This was after their closing hours listed on the website. I said “sure” and 45 minutes later they were here. Christian was very prompt and professional, got straight to work and didn’t stop moving until the job was done. He even kept working while I went out to confirm my method of payment.
