Warning !! Find another pier to visit !! Elevator is a hazard !! My mother in law came to visit so I wanted to take her to Wicked Tuna then walk on the pier afterwards . We had a decent meal , $240 , & are trying to leave and get stuck on the elevator on the third floor . I was able to pry the door open & went back inside restaurant . They informed me it belonged to 2nd Avenue pier so I go down on steps & explain what happened . The only reason I even bothered with elevator is my sweet mother in law has MS & was unable to walk stairs . They came & fixed the elevator temporarily , alarm went off again & had to be reset one more time . Then we go to walk on pier & my wife was very upset . Her mother was just stuck in an elevator . She complained to the guy at the door & he starts going off about how he was tired of people complaining , yata yata yata . Her mom & all of us were stuck in an elevator ! It Warranted Complaining ! She told the guy about it & the jerk gave us our money back , incidentally we were charged to walk on the pier after what I spent for dinner , and told to leave . My Wife & Mother in law should have never had to listen to this guy complain about his Job ! Find another one if you don’t like what you are doing , HAZARDOUS ELEVATOR & VERY RUDE MAN RUNNING THE PIER ! There are several more in Myrtle Beach ,...

The pier as a pier to view the ocean, to shop, to hang out it was very nice. The price for all-day fishing there with rod rental and one tray of bait was only 27.50 that is a sweet low price that is much lower than most piers that I have seen. I did not fish there but that price has me planning on coming back. Elevators are a big plus total access for people with disabilities. They also had people driving carts to pick you up from parking lot. We did not try the restaurant on this visit. Having looked at the menu there is a huge variety of choices for any appetite, just about anything you could be in the mood to eat is there. They charged us 2.00 to hang out on the pier all day until midnight. That is good also if you want to come back with no extra charge. There is access to the beach right beside the pier so as a place for someone not staying in a hotel facing the ocean, this place is wonderful, with them serving breakfast, lunch and dinner and with a shop to buy so many things you'd need for the beach, this is a place well worth...

Had a great experience. We went twice on our week long vacation. Felt like thefirst server we got was new. Kept laying on "sir" pretty hard but was an attentive server. Thought I was getting a variety sushi plate for $20 and it ended up being just one roll. My bad. I read the menu in a way that made me think it was going to be a platter. So make sure to ask. Second time we went we got Idan as a server. He's lived in Myrtle Beach his whole life! His lineage is that of Israel, Morocco and Syria, so don't make the mistake of thinking he's south American like I did. I order sushi again that time. I was a lil bummed cause they ran out of cucumber and it made the sushi seem much smaller. And I might have thought if there's less ingredients it might be cheaper, not the case. We order a couple bottles of sake 🍶 and it was exquisite! Highly recommended the plum. My partner wasn't too keen on the shrimp and grits she ordered. I guess she had a diff expectation. All in all it's a good place and I will look forward to going back each...

I love going to the Pier in Myrtle Beach. I don't go to fish (which you can do from the Pier), I just go to enjoy the view while walking on the Pier, looking over the rail down at the ocean and taking pictures. There are multiple Piers in Myrtle Beach, but 2nd Ave is my go-to. The guys that run the Pier at the register are awesome! They're very friendly and always in a good mood whenever I go there to get our pass to walk on the Pier. I've seen people catch tons of fish from this Pier. I will be back again to visit Myrtle Beach one day and no matter what end of Myrtle Beach I'm on, the 2nd Ave Pier will be on my visit list. After a 2 year absense from yearly beach trip, i was able to return to MB. i went to see the pier and to see if fish were biting as i wanted to fish if it looked to be a good day. I purchased a day access to pier, but the man on duty was unfamiliar to me. He gave me a reciept but it said $0.00. Usually they give you a band to wear. my reciept said i paid nothing. he did not put any money in register. I asked if i get a band, but he sneered at me saying you wanna band you gotta pay for fishing. I was suspicious then. the next couple behind me purchased the same thing, they reciweved nothing and went onto the pier. i think he pocketed my money. Here is a image of my reciept. I won't be back to this pier, it's in disrepair, and the worker at least i dealt with yesterday is very unprofessional. Next spring i'll visit Cherry Grove Pier. They are much nicer, more mom and pop Friendly.

An awesome pier. It does cost $2 per person but its totally worth it. Support local businesses! The pier itself looks to built really sturdy. Didnt feel in danger while on it. There is a restaurant in the building and you can buy fishing equipment inside as well if you feel like fishing. You can also feed the fishes for $.50 cents. The employees in the building are really friendly and helpful. The bathrooms inside are really clean. The Pier is quite long, which makes for great pictures of the beach and Myrtle Beach skyline. Parking is free October through March, so that made parking there easier (Parked during first week of January 2020). Beach is clean and tidy. We felt very safe here. Would definitely recommend coming here during the off season since there arent many people to walk through. Overall, one pier we would make a stop at again in Myrtle Beach.
