Had one of the worst experiences from their EXTREMELY high pressure sales managers and the GM of the dealership itself. Scheduled my car for service and was reached out by the sales team to, “Meet with the GM” about my vehicle in which there was no meeting, it’s a bait and switch to get you to sit with a high pressured salesman while your waiting for your car to be serviced and do an, “inspection for certification on them”, but this is the trap. If you have a newer car, especially leased, be aware! Don’t take any meetings or fall for their games. Don’t let them sell you on, “certified preowned” if you’re the only owner as the car will still fall under manufacturer warranty when you leased the car, but please check your lease agreements.
The worst of it all was they wouldn’t let me take my car after it was serviced and they held my car and keys effectively hostage as I never signed any agreement or paper stating that I agreed to any terms, loan, etc, and I repeated time and time again that I needed to leave and that I’d like to leave but the needed to, “complete the inspection” and gave me loaner car. The salesman said, ”if you have to leave, I can swing by your house later and sign the paperwork” in which I couldn’t even believe what I was hearing again not agreeing to anything other than to have my car serviced.
When I returned to the dealership the next day, to retrieve my car, I was told by the service manager that my keys were with sales. After checking with the sales manager, 20 minutes later I was escorted into the financial office to sign paperwork for a loan agreement that I had not seen or agreed to, no hand shake, no signature, and immediately stopped them and said that i never agreed to anything and I’d like to leave but I was still forced to listen to a sales pitch or force me to sign legally binding contracts.
Less than 24hours later I’m experiencing major issues with my car that either should have been inspected and fixed with the, “certification” process or my car has purposely been tampered with with malicious intent. My issues are on going with little resolve and may need to take legal action as my life may be in danger if my car has been...
Read moreIf I could give zero stars, I would. My experience at Kastner Honda was nothing short of a manipulative circus. From the moment I inquired about purchasing a vehicle, I was upfront about my situation—I have terrible credit, no job, and no co-signer. Despite this, multiple salespeople assured me they could work with me, even after taking all my personal information, including my Social Security number and date of birth.
I arrived at the dealership around 11 a.m., only to be passed from one person to another, each telling me something different. After running my credit, they initially told me I needed a co-signer—something I had already disclosed from the start. Frustrated, I questioned why they wasted my time when they had all my information beforehand. But instead of letting me leave, they insisted they could “make something work” and had me stay.
A financing representative then told me I didn’t need a co-signer, that they had a bank willing to approve me with no proof of income. Excited, I started signing paperwork for the car I wanted—a Dodge Charger. They even sent the car off to be detailed, telling me it was officially mine. I was on the verge of celebrating when, suddenly, another finance employee told me I did need a co-signer after all.
At this point, I had wasted my entire day—five hours of back-and-forth lies and empty promises. When I confronted the finance representative who initially told me I didn’t need a co-signer, he outright denied ever saying it. He looked me in the face and lied. The entire experience felt like a bait-and-switch, designed to keep me there for hours, dangling false hope in front of me.
The only honest and professional person I encountered was Levi, who actually treated me with respect. If I had worked solely with him, I might have considered asking my dad to co-sign. But after being manipulated, deceived, and completely disregarded by the rest of the staff, I refused to give them my business.
This dealership is dishonest, unprofessional, and willing to waste your entire day just to string you along. Do yourself a favor—take your...

First point of contact treated me like a fool. Told me three times via phone they operate on transparency and yet wouldn't negotiate the price of the vehicle over the phone that we already knew we wanted (we weren't window shopping). I told her I understand the inventory angle, and I'm not asking y'all to hold the vehicle for me until I get in. I just wanted a price on it and if it's a decent deal I'd be there and hopefully buy before the next person.
There's nothing transparent about trying to upsell me and/or play into typical dealership rigamarole to force a buyer into a worse deal than they wanted or bleed them out on the floor with tired kids getting you to tap out. Being transparent is telling me their best offer and if I agree to it I can be in the same say to buy in cash, knowing the deal isn't guaranteed until I sign and hand over a check.
I then reached out via email to the GM to explain what we're after, what I'm interested in paying and that I can be there same day if necessary to finish the deal. No response.
I tried one last time about a week later and spoke to someone who told me they don't think they have any of the 3 vehicles that I'm interested in on their lot (that were online). Told me he would get back to me via email within an hour to update me on current inventory. Never heard back.
Family and I happened to be driving through Davis (on way back from a pumpkin patch) to see what the Davis location had, was a spur of the moment thing. Davis dealership showed us some of the new features of higher trim, color options etc and didn't pressure me. Gave me his info and said don't hesitate to text or call.
I reached out the next day via text and said we're ready to buy, have cash in hand, can we make a deal at $X price? Replied within minutes, said he would get back to me in a few hours, and not more than an hour later he agreed and we set up a time to sign docs.
Guess which dealership I won't be going to in the future nor recommend. Yep,...
