It was a very bad experience from the start. My mom, sister and I went there to do the wine and chocolate tasting for my mom's 60th birthday. We waited at the wine bar for almost 5 minutes until the lady told us we had to get in line first. I got in line and she marked my Groupon then told me to go wait where I was at the beginning. Then she continued helping other customers who were behind me as well 3 other customers who came in after we were sitting and waiting. She continued to make coffee and ignore us until my sister asked if she could help and she said I'll bring you water soon. Finally about 10 minutes after waiting she brought us water then said she'd be back. Almost another 5 minutes later she brought the chocolate and poured the first wine. The good part, the chocolate was pretty good. However, the wine was HORRIBLE. The first wine was a Moscato which is a dessert wine and shiuld be poured at the end. It tasted cheap and overly sweet. The next was another white that was not very good, the third was a red blend that was was not drinkable. It was the worst wine I've ever tried. It tasted as if it had been open for days and went bad. We ended up skipping the last wine because all of them were so bad. We asked if we could try a different one or have something different because it was so bad. She said no that's all we have and walked away. The whole experience was horrific. I would never go back and I would not recommend it to anyone. The wine was horrible and the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy daughter and I always stop for a sweet treat during Bottlerock. The staff is incredibly kind and considerate to spending. I wanted to try one before buying, considering the cost of fudgeā¦I was nervous to ask. She was so gracious and absolutely accommodated me. I bought the one I tried, it was so creamy and decadent. But I also needed to get the traditional fudge, she cut off a chunk from both! Cut them up and put them in two separate wrappers in a container. When we started walking to Bottlerock a stranger noticed the look on my face, and I exclaimed how amazing the fudge is and offered him a piece. He was on the fence about accepting candy from a strangerā¦but the fudge won out. He was happy to have a piece of fudge and gobbled it right away! I was able to bring some home with me and I gave my boyfriend a piece, and his eyes lit up like Christmas morning! I have had to hide the rest of the fudge š I sneak little bites almost daily. Itās so decadent and smooth, that little bites are very satisfying. Thank you for the best fudge ever! It is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreNot sure why I gave this 2 stars, it really deserves one but I feel like a jerk doing that. However, it is deserved. Found this place through Groupon and purchased the chocolate and wine pairing for two. Researched on the internet to make sure we didn't miss out because I know things close early in the valley. Website, google, etc say they close at 10. Walked in at 8:50pm to an empty place. Around 8:55 a lady walks out from the back and says "did you guys need something?" I stated that we had a Groupon for the chocolate and wine tasting and she got even colder and said "our wine bar is closed, it closes at 9." I checked my watch and said "its 8:55?" She replied, "well if you can drink it in two minutes I guess you can do it." The discussion/disappearing went on for another 5 or so minutes until we finally just left. Not only was that embarrassing with a friend but it's frustrating that I now have to try to get my money back from Groupon. Poor service ruins...
