Skin MB provides great services, however I was very frustrated with my last visit there during the check out process, and especially with the resulting customer service. I had two gift cards to use, one of which they could not find in their system. They finally found it, and then I owed an additional amount. The girl at the front desk said she could not charge my credit card that day because of a computer glitch, and the manager would have to fix it. Ok, fine. She writes down my credit card number. This was on friday. On Tuesday I receive an email that my card has been charged, but it was an incorrect amount. I watch for the charge on my credit card...nothing. Yesterday my husband noticed two charges on his credit card he had not authorized....yep, they charged his card instead of mine. I'm not even sure how this happened? I guess they had his card number from when he bought my gift card. So to recap, couldn't find gift card, charged incorrect amount 4 days later, and then finally charged correct amount to the WRONG card. I understand that things happen. I have been to skin mb in the past, and this is the first time something like this has occurred. The part of this experience that frustrates me the most, is that Julia offered NO apology whatsoever. I expressed my frustration and what a headache this had been, and literally silence on the other end of the line. A simple "I'm sorry about all the confusion" goes a long way. I have mixed feelings about Skin MB MedSpa. While the quality of the services they offer is impeccable and I look and feel great each time I leave, I can't help but be frustrated with their customer service. I have been to their spa a few times now and the last two times I have been given a service I did not ask for, nor was I told I was receiving something extra, and was charged almost $30 more than I expected.
When I ask why my bill is more at the front desk I was told that I was given services not included in the original cost. I was never told I was receiving something extra and no one offered to remove the cost from my bill. I was told to ask for no additional services next time I come in to the spa. This seems strange to me, restaurants don't just bring food you do not order then add the cost to your bill. How is this any different? Also the desire to continue education to learn about the best products for each individual skin care need.When I visit skin mb it is not only a place where I receive care for my face, but also a time of mediation and refreshing of my soul. The staff is also very conscious about helping to fit my skin care needs into my budget, often times giving me samples to make sure my face will react well to a product prior to purchasing it. Also what I appreciate is the education they give me for things I can do at home that help me to maintain my skin integrity between my visits that doesn't cost anything to me. The staff is polite, educated, professional they do not show favoritism to "celebrities", they provide the same care and concern to me as they do to a listers, and they are not self conceited.
