My 15 year old daughter made a purchase at Shorelines in the amount of 50$ money she saved up on her own. Upon trying to return and get the same thing she was treated with complete disrespect. The adult who accompanied my daughter the day prior to try and return said product was talked to like she was a complete idiot. Shorelines refuses to take any responsibility for their actions except for accepting the money for the product. She returned the following day to resolve problem with the owner only to be treated worse. She was mocked, laughed at and talked hatefully to. Now i believe in good customer service no matter age or price. I live local and have loyally shopped at Shorelines for years along with most all my family and friends who live here locally as well, and sent out of town guests their when looking for a nice place to shop. No more will we shop their. Anyone who asks me in the future about a "nice place" to shop I will share my experience with them so they do not make the same mistake. When I called to speak with the owner about the manner of which she treated my child she screamed and wined like a child herself and demanded that she be heard and she was right. Its clear a few things are still the same in the South as it was years ago...this meaning people of color are not welcomed. Items seemed a bit dated in my opinion and overly priced at Shorelines. Customer service goes a long way we didn't feel comfortable at all patronizing this "establishment" after the treatment we received. She (I assumed owner) even had the nerve to tell other customers what to wear when going to another restaurant. Thats none of her business she needs to mind her own and hope that hers (shorelines) will last...Good reddens and...
Read moreMy wife is a Flamingo fanatic. Our house (in the middle of Missouri) is covered in Flamingos. Inside and out. Each time we visit Florida she demands that we stop in here for their superior selection of Flamingo knick-knacks. I suspect the next time we stop in we'll return home bankrupt.
In all seriousness though: it's a nice shop. Prices as to be expected in a tourist-y location. Shop is cramped but fits a ton in the small space. Found the shop owners to be nice and they take time to newspaper wrap everything so it's not...
