Fun place! First time we had been there. The wait wasn't bad, considering we went on the 4th of July. The only thing that I did wish was to have a couple more options for slides for the little ones. Our boy who is 6 could only do 2 slides, one on a single tube and one without a tube that was almost too much for him. I went before him and it almost threw me around a little. Pretty fast which is cool for someone my age but for him, to be honest, scared him enough that he didn't want to go on any other that day. If he could've went with me, different outcome. Safety side - totally understand safety and Ill admit this park has that, life guards everywhere. Being one myself when younger, made us as a family feel safer. I hope this might help another parent out there but I have to talk about the slides again. The other slide I referred to that the small children 48" and above can ride is the one that you cannot bring a tube nor have a children's life jacket on. I understand the rules and why those are in place. Thats not the argument here. Here is what I had an issue with. I felt horrible when I promised my boy that I would be there to grab him when he came down, only to be yelled out by the lifeguard down there, (who manned not just the one slide, but also the one next to it), to get back and that she would get him. Guess what, he came down, went under, came up, and started to get towed down again before I went after him and hooked him with my arm, just like I would any other struggling victim, and hauled him out of there. My complaint is she didn't help him at all like she told me she would, I did. Her consolation was to say, "you're okay, you're fine," as he's coughing water out in my arms and crying. I'm sorry folks, I know this review is supposed to be unbiased and I really am trying here, but if he was to ever go down that slide again and asks me to be there, I WILL be the one catching him from the get go, not waiting on the edge of the water for him to choke on water first. Please don't let this ruin a chance to check the park as a whole out. We had a good time. I did this review because I want people to know what to expect. The thing I just shared with you goes for any of the slides at the park, so know the lifeguards are going to be the ones there when your kids come out. I feel that maybe this one lifeguard was having a bad day. Do I feel my child would've been helped in the end? yes, (biting my tongue here),...
Read moreThere's an opportunity to take the following constructive criticism for what it is. First impressions are lasting. This is by far the rudest bunch of life guards I've met. The lockers (25 cents per usage) are tricky with little instructions; many were filled with personal belongings yet not properly locked *use at your own risk. Upon walking in for the first time ever, there's no clock on the walls anywhere; suggest installing one near the First Aid Station along with pool out brake times. Update your website with that info too. Or better yet don't close the pool (unless for emergency cleaning) and have staff rotate their own breaks so paying guest can actually enjoy what they paid full price for. Whistles easily get drowned out with the constant noises from water splashing, kids screaming and overhead music; sensory overload is overwhelming, especially for those with hearing problems. Embarrassingly yelling at guest without understanding why sense there's no warning on the website either; does not create a welcoming atmosphere. Giving the benefit of the doubt, there may have been an unheard PA announcement while at the ticket booth paying for out of state pricing. Maybe invest in some water proof walkie-talkies and station someone in the FirstAid Station, at all times, to make overhead announcements as needed for guests to actually hear when there's issues. Reconsider a discount after a certain time (last 2 or 3 hours at half price would boost sales). The multiple slides are fun yet the lines were completely chaotic with the lifeguards doing more talking amongst each other versus crowd control. Suggest using color-coordinating duct-tape to show guest exactly where to stand for which colored slide, will create less fights over...
Read moreThe workers are the absolute worse! They are very rude. I came with my 2 young children they belittled me in front of a bunch of people. I came from another state and before I came I called to ask questions They told me 1 and under are free, I get there and the girl charged me for my daughter and said they have to be under 1. Then another girl walked out took my bag off my 9 year olds shoulder and went through it without asking only said I have to check the bag then took all of my kids things out of the bag and laid it on the ground. I then told her that is my daughter's sippy cup also her few little snacks that she can only eat with her disability. She then said we sell foods and I said she can't eat those and then grabbed my my daughters float from my son once again and said we could not bring it in. They gave me the first life jacket that was broke then the 2nd one like all the others smelled horrible and they had mold all over them. But my daughter had to have something so I still tried it just so my kids would get to enjoy what little time they had left after driving so far. The life jacket was choking my daughter not to mention it didn't keep up above the water and she ended up swallowing water and choking. I was so scared of dry drowning and was up all night worried to death checking on my baby all night. This place looks very nice and would be a great place if it had all new people working there. Very sad since this place is fairly new. It won't last if they continue to treat people badly, and I really felt like this was towards me bc I am out of state. When u first get there and pay if you aren't from the area or out of state you have to pay more which is...
