Heine Brothers Coffee - State Street — Restaurant in New Albany

I love this place, the coffee is great, the vibes/atmosphere a great place to work! The baristas are usually super friendly and seem really cool. But today I had a frustrating experience: I worked here the afternoon of 8/3/21 and when I came in I stood at the front for 5 min and no one came out to help me. Not an employee in sight. Turns out they were both in the back, so I assumed they got caught up in work related tasks, no big deal at all because I’ve been a barista before! I know how it can be! However, another woman came in while I was working and stood at the front for probably 10 min patiently. She finally shouted “helloooo?” To the back, and they didn’t hear her. From my spot I could see into the back & saw that the two baristas were chatting, one was on her phone. Finally after the customer waiting & I both shouted for their attention, they came out to help her. I didn’t see or hear any type of apology. I truly felt bad for that customer’s experience because everyone deserves to be treated with kindness and attention, to feel seen. I start almost every day with my HB coffee from this location. I have several modifications to my drink, and they make it perfect every time. I live less than 10 mins away... I place my order ahead, and it's always ready when I arrive. Even though there is a drive thru, I park and walk inside to grab my drink off the counter because I enjoy that brief moment in there... the atmosphere is inviting and, of course, smells great, and I am generally greeted and smiled at by all the baristas. It's such a great start to the day, and for all these reasons, It's my favorite part of my day and my favorite coffee shop. As always,...

This location doesn't deserve even one star but had to give at least one to post.This past Sunday morning was the first time going here and it will definitely be the last! I walked in and went to the counter to order as no one was there. Three employees were behind the counter and never acknowledged me to let me know they would be with me in a moment , although they all looked my way and then quickly turned away . HORRIBLE customer service. I waited almost five minutes and never was waited on so I left and went to Coffee Crossing where the employees are fast...
