Oh my, where to begin. I have said for years that southern Indiana needs a good place for bubble tea, but this is not it. I've gave this business multiple chances over the years it's been open but each time it disappoints me and reminds me why I don't frequent it. Aesthetical dislikes, the location in Jeffersonville, the front door has literally been messed up for as long as I can remember which just gives the vibe that the business is struggling since they haven't replaced it, the hours also vary quite a bit during certain seasons, never on a set a schedule. The location on State Street, the couches they have in there have been awfully stained for a while and it doesn't even look like they tried to clean them up, they just leave them sit there looking disheveled, I also feel like that location only has one employee working at a time because I never see more. When it comes to the food and drinks at both locations, the tapioca pearls are never cooked correctly, they are always undercooked and hard which is dangerous to ingest because it can cause intestinal blockage and they are also easier to choke on if swallowed incorrectly. Not to mention, the pearls never taste great and they definitely don't have a brown sugar taste, maybe a tinge if any. The quality of the tapioca pearls makes me feel like they are ordering bottom of the barrel product. Their bagels and other food items are very lackluster as well. If they don't want to attempt to cook the tapioca pearls correctly then they really need to remove them from the menu and only offer the popping pearls, before it causes someone a...
Read moreI've tried both the NA and Jeff locations now, and I will say the NA is the better one. The store is cute and decorated with the intent of providing Instagram aesthetic backdrops to tag the business in. As for the food, the macrons were REALLY good, like addictively good. The chocolate croissant was good, I enjoyed the fact it was warmed and crunchy on the outside but would have preferred a bit more chocolate on the inside than just a small smear. The drinks are really where I have a problem, unfortunately. All three times I've been to Fresco, either in NA or Jeff, the boba teas were not good. I'm sorry to say as I really wanted them to be, and yes, I did ask the second time if they would remake it and yes, it was just as bad. The problem is they are so watered down. There is no flavor. I've tried the thai, tiger's milk, and black tea all with boba and they are not good. It's a better option to go to Louisville or the Onion in NA to get good boba tea. We had the same issue with the hot chocolate as well in the NA location. When we tried it at home, we found it was watered down to hell and unfortunately we won't be attempting to go to Fresco anymore. The staff at both locations were friendly though and the store was clean. Overall, the food was 4/5, tea was 1/5,...
Read moreFirst off, I am NOT a complainer, nor do I ever post negative reviews. We go to this boba shop pretty often, and I even go alone sometimes as a pick-me-up. Took my daughter today for a special birthday treat. The barista was kind enough but was understandably annoyed that she had to tell us almost everything was out of stock. They have seasonal items displayed and thought I’d get a seasonal matcha. Too bad, out of matcha. Okay, that’s fine! Maybe it’s God telling me I don’t need a drink today. My daughter wanted a coconut bun, out of that too. They were also out of the taro bun she wanted as a second choice. Luckily, I had cash on me because their card reader was also down. The icing on the cake was getting my daughter’s boba, picking out a straw, and none of the straws were wide enough for the boba to fit through. Had to go to Target and purchase wide straws so she could enjoy her birthday treat. I hope the owners or whoever is in charge of keeping items in stock is okay and hopefully there is no underlying health/emergency reason why a ton of stuff is out of stock, but I won’t be back...
