Big O Tires New Albany - State St — Local services in New Albany

I can into this shop requesting a tire to be mounted an alignment and for a noice on the left front end to be repaired. I have no complaints on the tire mount, however I had the alignment completed then the next day they said my cv shaft was causing the noice one was ordered and they ordered the wrong part, they never looked to see which my car took. I had to come in again the next day to get that replaced, third visit, I drove 1.2 miles and had to turn around because the noice was still present and the alignment was still pulling to the left. When I came in they acted as if it was fixed a mechanic got in and I drove we made it 30 feet in the parking lot and the noice was clearly heard by the mechanic. He stated it was something to do with the strut, we turned around and he took it to the bay, then someone came out to me and said it was a engine mount, one was ordered from Louisville, and then I got it replaced. The noice was gone for 36 hours and yesterday I went to drive and again the noice is still there with a vibration throughout the car. I called to figure out why it’s still not fixed. Oh I forgot on the previous visit I was told they had no time to repair the alignment they didn’t do correctly although they had me get the warranty for a additional fee. I had to argue about coming in today because they didn’t have time again. I demanded that it needed to be looked I I drive 4 hours every day to and from work. I’ve taken 4 days off work now and lost about 1200$ in wages and have already paid this shop 800+ and so far have received a oil change and tire mount, nothing else was completed. I’m currently sitting here and keep getting told there’s no time to fix my car when the mistakes have been on...

I’ve mostly always had a good experience at Big O tires with New Albany, IN and Jeffersonville, IN being the only ones I’ve gone to. This recent visit to New Albany could ended very badly. When you check in and you tell the service writer specifically of an issue to watch out for or to not do, they should let that be known to the employees AND write it on the work order for all to see. I went for a flat repair with my spare tire on my truck. I told the employee to just have them put the spare in the back of the truck bed when they’re done I'll take care of it. They pull truck in and replaced the tire since it was too damaged to fix (I already knew it most likely would be) I’m looking out the waiting room window and an employee is inside my truck yanking hard on the passenger seat and I don’t know why. He continues to do it and I have to yell for the employees inside what he’s doing. He continued to yank on the seat until I got an employee and went out into the shop and stop him. He was trying to move my passenger seat to get to the spare tire tools under the back bench seat (95 Chevy) which do not exist. That’s why I said put it in the back of the truck I’ll take care of it. He could have broken my seat so bad if I hadn’t stopped him from yanking on my seat. Luckily he didn’t and I’m not trying to repair a 95’ Chevy truck seat. This location is very helpful & a great place to bring your vehicle. I’ve never been to a Big O before but I urgently needed all new tires after discovering a lump in the rear right as well as dry rotting on all the others during a 60k mileage tune up. I was able to squeeze in a last minute appointment for 8am this morning for 4 new tires installed as well as an alignment. I brought my 2017 Subaru Legacy in with good year tires that have been on it since it was brand new (currently at 62k miles now). The good year tires that were on my vehicle were noisy and I didn’t notice that until I started driving on these new tires and they are so quiet and much better for my legacy! I was also offered an alignment protection plan because I am a doordasher and Indiana roads are terrible lol so I gladly paid the extra $100 for the year long plan. They also brought to my attention that my wheel lock key was missing (another mechanic the day before must’ve misplaced it during the tuneup) but they were able to do the tire change anyway! 10/10 would recommend this location and I will definitely be bringing my legacy...
